Here's my question: can you see any other guys doing this? Maybe JV or Hunter are the first two that come to mind. I absolutely love the fact that Miggy is doing this. It shows that sometimes, it's not all about the money.
I can. Even if no one else does the same, his example will be on their minds. Miguel showing good leadership. Hopefully, the rest of the Tigers have their hearts in it and I suspect they do. It's more than a paycheck now, it's time to win a championship. These Tigers should have nothing else on their mind than that... except maybe Verlander, he has 'that girl' to deal with.
i hope it's a different crew than who did the WC game. i like ernie johnson, and i had no issues with cal ripken - but whoever (i never figured out who he was) was doing the color did not make a good impression on me.
Dennis Eckersley and Joe Simpson on the color tonight. Joe has been the PBP for the Braves since the early 90's... he's not bad. Eckersley worries me tho. I really am not sure who did the WC... didnt pay close enough attention.
...and one more pic for the hell of it. I take back all the negative stuff Ive said about Twitter. I joined to help promote this web-site and discovered it's a cool thing for info on exactly what I pick... kinda cool. Just an FYI for anyone curious where i get some of the cool shots. Go Tigers! Lets do this thing!
Maxs pitches are flat. Hes seems tense, that late life on his pitches isnt there. Hes gotta loosen up. If that slider doesnt bite its gonna be a long night. Thats his money pitch and he throws it better than anyone when hes got it going. This ump isnt gonna give us nothing. and I wont even ask why Ausmus doesnt walk Cruz in the first w 2 out and a runner on third. That guy KILLS US. Ill face Pearce all day long, terrible call Brad
got the pitch count to 80 thru four - thats nice. Tillman is a strange pitcher to me. He doesnt throw hard and isnt a low walk pitcher, yet his delay/stutter step in his delivery and the fact that he hides the ball so well does wonders for him. Hes also rare in that when hes on his fastball rises and his changeup looks identical to hitters. mix in a knuckle-curve( I can count all the guys in the league that throw that on one hand) and you got a guy that really goes against the grain in so many ways when it comes to pitching- yet is successful
