could Porcello possibly have tanked any worse since the All Star break? Man this guy kills me, hes a touch and feel pitcher. he needs groundballs and his defense to help him yet he continually leaves pitches hanging. Man is he frustrating to watch. Just when you think hes turned the corner he reverts back to garbage. I will say, at the beginning of the year I said I wasnt concerned about Nathan and we finally got our closer. I also said Kinsler will never make it through a full season and hes on the downslide. I was so wrong on both accounts. Kinsler has been everything and then some. Not sure where this team would be without him. Hes been nails at the plate, defensively hes the best in the infield and has been the leadoff guy that this team covets. i hated the fact that we lost one my favorites in AJ but hes done everything thats been asked. for a guy in his 30's and has his big contract in tow I have nothing bad to say about a guy who couldve just went through the motions and collected his fat check. Kudos to you Ian,youve been worth every penny. Tigs down right now but Im pulling for you FYI Ausmus - theres a reason Jim Johnson wasnt claimed by anyone please stop giving him chances this time of year, hes done. His command is terrible and for a guy who doesnt throw that hard and his offspeed stuff was never all that good to begin with Id say your done Jim. How this guy saved 50 games 2 years in a row is beyond me. Ill take my chances with Hardy and co.
between Castellanos, Holaday and Davis theyve left 11 on base so far. gotta do better than that. Davis wastes so many at bats.I want to really get on board with him but I just cant. Absolutely love the speed(keeps the pitchers off balance) but its no good if your not on base and his defense is atrocious. Not sure if theres a comeback/suprise player of the year for MLB but if there is JD has my vote. Ive waited all year to say this but this guy is the real deal. it helps batting behind 2 of the best hitters in the AL but unlike Davis he doesnt waste those opportunities.and his power is legitimate. Cmon guys lets make it happpen!!

I agree this is what plagued him and held him back IMHO. he gets lazy up there and swings at crap. I question his focus right now. He has the ability and if he didnt Id say, well hes better than Suarez. He has to get his head in the game. I have a feeling fatigue may be playing into things. Hes never played this many games in a single season but you gotta man up young buck. You may never get this close again. You have to want this. hard to tell a 22 yr old that. wow, Im happy hes back and shocked. Maybe its to get him back in game shape. This guy is money and I want him in the starting rotation come playoff time. how deep are we at pitching to have a guy that was in the top 3 for the Cy Young last year to be a reliever. Ausmus better not out JV in the rotation.hes pandered to him all year, I dont care what these guys make or how long theyve been here, think about winning thats it. if it hurts his feelings oh well. If Anibal is even 90% he gors in the rotation. I have the utmost confidence in this kid. Maybe Ausmus wants to work him back slowly - but hes not a reliever.
