Justin Verlander will throw a light bullpen session Thursday and said he intends to start one of the two games for Saturday's twin bill. Thats certainly good news.

Fantastic pitching tonight by Porcello. 3 hits, a complete game and his 3rd shutout of the season. Now, if the Royals could do something different and lose a game.
Did we have a real life version of "Freaky Friday?" Say "Freaky Fourteen" where Justin Verlander pitches like Rick Porcello used to and Rick Porcello pitches like Justin Verlander used to. That would explain quite a lot.

Right now the Tigers would be the 2nd wildcard team. Once in the playoffs, the Tigers would use Price, Scherzer, Porcello, Verlander / Sanchez. I like that rotation.
If they can just get healthy and stay that way, I really like that rotation come playoff time. I think they will all pick it up a notch and do just fine. They better because i still have my doubts for that bullpen. I like JV's attitude. He's chomping at the bit. I thought he was getting it together just before something went haywire in his shoulder. I think he was getting the speed back up to the mid 90's also. Thought that was a good sign.

Detroit finishes up a 3 game series with the Rays tomorrow. Price (12-8) opposes Cobb (8-6). Kansas City is off tomorrow. The Tigers have a golden chance to close the gap to only 1/2 game.

Miggy DH'ing because he aggravated his ankle sliding into home plate in yesterdays game. I see we have another pitchers dual. 31 out of the next 37 games remaining for the Tigers are all against the Central. Thats cool, imo.
That loss hurt. Great game by Price tho. 1 unearned run in the 1st beats the Tigers, 1-0. DAMMIT JIM!!!!
