how many times do we have to hear, 'Im sorry a lapse in judgment' crap. You let me down Jhonny I can tell you that. you deserve everything you get. You shouldnt get paid either. You cheated a game that I hold dear to me and thats inexcusable. Later days man, I want no part of what your about. Your a multi millionaire so the odds are what you did Im sure will never affect you personally - and thats the worst part of this. I hope we get a ring now even more so. and you can sit and watch while we celebrate without you. keep your needles and your money, cheater > .....k Im off my soapbox now
Max Scherzer, on Jhonny Peralta: "It?s pretty apparent how I feel towards cheaters," Scherzer said. "With Jhonny, it?s disappointing. It really is." "As players as a whole, we?re tired of cheating," he said. "We?re tired of guys who blatantly try to break the system. That?s something that we have to find a way to shore up so this doesn?t happen again, because the more days we have like this, the worse it is for our game and the worse it is for our fans. It only drives fans away. "So as players, we have to find a way so the reward isn?t there anymore and that we can always talk about baseball and not talk about PEDs and other things like this."

Yep...gonna need him healthy in the fall. Indians were messing with him too, and some words were being exchanged on several occations. That was a buty of a bunt by Avila...I think he's figured out how to hit, again. What a game. 9 straight. Those kind of games are killers if your on the negative side of one. Tigers didnt quit. Parez' life sucks right now.
Tonights pitching matchup has Verlander (11-8) vs Masterson (13-7). Tigers 20 over, 4 games up, at 65-45.
For the second straight day, Miguel Cabrera is in the Tigers' starting lineup at third base. He's 12-for -34 with two homers off lifetime against Cleveland's Justin Masterson. 1. Austin Jackson (R) CF 2. Torii Hunter (R) RF 3. Miguel Cabrera (R) 3B 4. Prince Fielder (L) 1B 5. Victor Martinez (S) DH 6. Don Kelly (L) LF 7. Alex Avila (L) C 8. Jose Iglesias (R) SS 9. So what you are saying is that he's pretty good against him *THUMBSUP* Just hoping he doesn't strain anything. Is there a reason Iglesias is hitting 8th. I figured he would just replace Jhonny in the lineup. I'm thinking first to 4 again takes game 2
lol...You expect me to know what Leylands doing? His lineups are creative to say the least. If I had to guess, Iglesias is hitting 8th because Jim wanted to string as many lefty's together as he could. I sure hope Miggy's going to be OK...he's making me, and alot of others very nervous. I hope the 'good' Verlander takes the mound too, he's been struggling some lately. Kinda hot and cold.
Lineup decisions, from Cris Lott - mlive: Leyland has made out two lineups since Peralta was suspended. Both had left fielders batting in the sixth spot. Andy Dirks batted there Monday, and Don Kelly is in the sixth spot tonight. So is the plan to put whichever player is starting in left -- Dirks, Kelly or Matt Tuiasosopo -- in the sixth spot? "I just don't know what I'll do with that for sure," Leyland said. "That's the way it matched out right now, but I don't want to etch it in stone." Leyland was asked whether the eventual return of Omar Infante to the lineup might change who he uses in the sixth spot. "I don't know about that," Leyland said. The reason Leyland started Kelly and put him sixth Tuesday night is because Kelly is 8-for-21 (.381) with two home runs against Indians starter Justin Masterson. "That's why he's playing," Leyland said. "He might strike out four times. I don't know. But that's why he's playing."
I do believe its the good Verlander. Touching 100mph on the gun, up 5-1. Curveball has been deadly also. I like it.
JV with maybe his best outing of the season. Kelly did come up big, Tigers now 11-3 against the Tribe. bottom 3 strand 12 - thats not good, including 5 by Iglesias. Prince under .260 for the first time as his vanishing act continues. How he isnt just tearing it up batting behind Miggy is beyond me. Theres no excuse for a player of his caliber to perform like this
Definitley the best JV has looked in a while. He was dealing some fast, sharp breaking stuff and hitting a hundred on the gun. Great location for the most part. Glad to see him get back in the groove. I dont know whats up with Prince. You would think he's seeing some really good pitches. Very unPrince-like. Hope he breaks out soon. Imagine the lineup if he gets a hot bat.
