Well, I hope their not planning on committing to many penalty's. I think thats one of the keys to winning against Boston...keep their special teams off the ice, cuz they are certainly special.
Still waiting for word on Zetterberg. He wants in. Yo, Franzen...1 goal in your past 21 games...really? Yo, Quincey...HIT SOMEBODY!!!!, or better yet, just cover and disrupt somebody, especially in front of your own goalie, Im sure he would appreciate your assistance. You play the game, I"LL do the watching. Oh Legwand, Oh Legwand...where for art thou? Keys to the game --- SCORE!!!, anyway you can!!! 2 goals in 3 games ='s well, losing. *CRAZY*
i really hope he doesn't play, obviously. if he plays i really hope he doesn't get hurt, one of my favorites in the league and back surgery + possibly rushing to play the BigFats might not be the best recipe.
PHT, Mike Halford... *SCRATCH* Raise eyebrows and cause Mr. Smilie to become confused. I dont think ive ever heard anything like this before. Seems odd...
Jimmy was to sick to even practice today, so it sounds like he's got it pretty bad. Alfie skated at practice and should be good to go Saturday. He's had a sore back.
If they use the 2nd on freakin Tootoo this will be the biggest joke/ stupid decision of Hollands career. And I've already got a pretty good list
http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index...roit-redwings+(Detroit+Red+Wings+-+MLive.com) I wish the Hawks had what Detroit has with MLive, so un-Lennie. Zetterberg gave plenty of quotes. I liked how he used that one. It's not just a comment from Z that will probably be an accurate prediction given the Wings' history and state of the market, it shows how aware he is of what's going on in and around the league. It always surprises me at the number of players that have no real idea about what is going on with rule changes, negotiations, transactions, etc. They're able to squeeze so many more thoughts into a single article on average compared to most hockey media sources.
nice to see an outsider appreciate MLive. they're good stuff. back to the "rebuild". my untouchable list (pavel and hank) IS short, but some of those not on that list are close to it. for the reason already discussed, i'm very reluctant to trade dekeyser this soon. aanother almost-untouchable is junior. he's earned the A on his sweater, and i'd very much like to see him play his whole career here.
One of the few places I can never recall scratching my head and asking myself what the heck they're talking about. I'm not really an outsider, I've been embedded around Detroit lurking, studying, waiting. As far as the offseason goes, I think the first things to figure out are the contract extensions and whether or not to keep Legwand. Then Quincey. Seems like Cleary is gone and Tootoo is bought out. I think Sheahan gets a cheap bridge The Tatar and DeKeyser extensions might be tricky and might have to stretch beyond 2 years. Dekeyser has too much leverage to take a short extension imo, and Tatar is owed some serious pesos from Detroit in my opinion as well. Not much has happened in the way of extensions around the league yet, once 2nd round is rolling we should see what the UFA class looks like (besides bad) and what every other franchise's cap situation looks like. Lots of compliance buyouts in play.
