I dont know why, or understand, and the only info I can find, says just about nothing, but Gus goes in Pittsburgh tonight.

Well, Im a little confused as to why, but thats nothing new. Maybe Gus has great numbers against the Pens... I should look that up. Anyway, one big point is needed tonight...Go Wings!

Nice win for the wings. Congrats to wings fans. I credit Will, Lulz, Mo, and even Cutter for putting them over the top.

I am really happy for Mike Ilitch, he's still an owner but I genuinely think he cares about winning and he wants his customers to be happy with what they paid for and I can't ask anything more than that from a franchise owner. I think he's been a major influence in how teams model their franchises and it's been good for sports overall, especially the NHL. Since he's not healthy according to rumors and stories, I think it's great he gets to see another on of his franchises handle the adversity and make it to the postseason. I have no idea if it means anything to him or not, but I figure it can't hurt. Besides, I'm still grateful to the guy for Crazy bread which got me through plenty of hungry days in the past.

  6. i saw u mention this in another thread, bob. as far as i know, his son chris is the guy who will take the reins when the time comes.

and you're damn right we are the ones who put them over the top. if i've learned one thing from SCPBBD&O, it's that the success of your favorite team makes u a better person. and it's an obvious corollary that i am responsible for that success :)

and Ive been training my ass off all off season to take bob down. he was the better fan last year and deserved the win. this year my fandom will reign supreme as the Broonz will be my proof making me the smahtest and bestest fan around.

didn't know you're now the 8 seed. you sonsabitches better pick yer shit up and get 4 points these next 2 games, maybe even 5 points these next 2 games if thats what it takes.

True Broonz power cannot be harnessed without a rant/whine session from Clode. You're at a disadvantage.

  13. I've been critical of Holland about a lot of things and all of you let me hear about it every time but to make the playoffs 23 years in a row is very impressive. We've managed to retool on the fly and with 7 good young players now in the mix the future is bright. I give Holland and Illitch full credit for that. With the money available this off season all he needs to do is get us defensive help and this team will be a legitimate Cup contender again. I just heard the last time the Wings missed the playoffs gas was $1.16 a gallon. And I was in 11th grade. That's crazy

    1991 was a magical year.

i went to work (in the Air Force) tripping on a LSD binge from the night before. i spent 6 of the 8 hours on the phone talking to people who wouldn't freak me the f**k out. the other 2 hours, i hid in the bathroom. i'm sure THAT didn't look strange at all.

in April, there was a blackout in Honolulu, i missed my alarm, and missed work from another LSD session (and ecstasy) the night before. my 1st Sgt came beating down my door and wrote some kind of report or something. 4 days later he ordered me to Tripler Medical Ctr for detox. it was 4 days later... i wasn't still tripping, ffs!

i turned my self in for drug use. i figured my behavior was a little unusual (even i could see it) and if they busted me, i would probably be in a vat full of s**t. so, i beat them to the punch.

june 1991, i left the air force... fr33dum baby!

    per PHT.

Im thinking Howard will be just fine. I like what Ive seen him do when the chips are down. That being said he's not or shouldnt be the savior, he should have full support out in front him. I think one of the major factors in the Wings success will be the ability to not turn the puck over so much. Good puck possession in the offensive zone will go a long way in helping too. Play smart and be patient, no stoopid penalties...and by all means, score more goals than the other team. :) ...thought of that all be meself.

  17. With the defense we have he's gonna need to be the savior. We have arguably the worst defense out of any playoff team. That is the Wings achilles heel. Howard is more than capable of stealing a series

The collapse of the Hawks against that miserable N Stars team after the president's trophy did cast a large shadow on the year.
I also bought one of those rigged boxes for cable so I could descramble everything including all the porn channels. It was a few hundred bucks but I think it paid for itself in 2 weeks, maybe less.

23 straight seasons is crazy, heck, every year since lockout 1 is crazy.
