it's a start, but too much salary our way. make it patrice and dougie for eaves, soreboob, and cleary. oh ya, and u better throw in a pair of second rounders.
Wouldnt it be nice if a Vanek or a Moulson type FA could be signed. Especially if Zetterberg lands on LTIR or worse? They would not come cheap, but they would sure be a nice fit. Maybe Holland has a move or some magic up his sleeve, he is due to do something i would think. If losing a top tear, core player like Zetterberg, doesnt push the higher ups enough for them to make a move, then nothing ever will. I understand the pickings are few, but even a Cammalleri or Boyes would be better than just doing nothing. Anyway, easy for me to say, and easy for me to spend someone elses money. I just hope for the best, obviously, and there is a lot at stake with these Wings. Im figuring since there facing a real challenge at even making the playoffs, after such an impressive run in the post-season last year, and the 22 straight thing, they have to do something. I think their hand is forced.
Maybe it's burning a hole in their pocket. You may be helping them out. Cammalleri would be a good fit for Detroit because he can play either side and even some center. As Babcock will have to mix and match lines for the next couple years, he's a player I would consider closest to ideal if they can only land one of the better UFAs. He's another injury risk but he'll at least be able to plug holes all over when healthy.
can't they put him in traction or on a military cot or something. sure, he can't go with United or Delta, but there are other options. also, why is he going to detroit? Stockholm is closer... hell, even NYC is closer. is teh BEST chiropractor REALLY in Detroit, Michigan?!?!
Well, I went back and did some reading, and not once was the word chiropractor used in any report from mlive. He was supposed to fly home this week, but cant because of the back pain. He is going to seek further evaluation to determine if he needs season ending surgery for a herniated disk, was the only thing I read.
Pretty sure Frank was kidding about the chiropractor, but I thought it was awesome. Can't do anything in terms of IR movement without the team docs' evaluation and signatures anyway. Detroit and the Habs in 9 days.
Its all cool. Cant wait. Time to get this show back on the road. Im hoping the Wings surprise a lot of people and find a way to win even without the Z. That game against Montreal is a big game too. Im ready.
no kidding, will - especially with hank gone. the mule's no shutdown guy like hank is - imo, hank is better at that role than pizza slice head is - but i think he's underrated defensively, and we'll need every edge we can get.
From mlive, Ansar Khan... Its great he got it done and is up and walking (soon) with a chance of returning. Im sure they wont rush him. Wings will just have to pick it up and carry on. Glad things went well.
Im glad the Olympics are done. Its time to get down to the real 'nitty gritty', the push for the playoffs. It would be nice if Datsyuk continues his great play that he showed in the Olympics. Franzen staying healthy and finding the back of the net would be a good thing too. What kind of Mr. Weiss shows up has me real curious...ive never seen the guy at the top of his game, so I have no idea what he can bring to the Wing. Seems to me the Wings are going to have to do more than just tread water, they are going to have to win flat out in order to make the playoffs. It gets started against Montreal in just a couple days.

i'm hoping that weiss had actually been dealing with that injury from day one, and that a healthy weiss will be a different player than the one we've seen so far.
