24/7 Red Wings/Maple Leafs: airs this Saturday night at 10pm est, on HBO, and will run every Saturday night through January 4th. It really looks like a very interesting show from what ive read.

 

This is getting ridiculous with these games. Something has to give. I'm starting to wonder if its as simple as just not playing well right now or if there's leadership or coaching problems. Its like they don't care I don't get it. Maybe Hank isn't a good captain. I really like him but something has to change. Maybe a big trade

 

I think they really miss or missed Zetterberg and Datsyuk for a while. The lack of production from Weiss, Cleary, and anyone on defense not named Kronwall, isnt helping matters. They just dont seem deep enough most of the time. Helm is a big missing piece right now too. The Wings just cant seem to get firing on all cylinders at once. They cant put 4 productive lines out, or at least 3, lately. Its got to be frustrating to them big time, that their so close and competitve in these games, but come up just short. I keep waiting for the breakout.

Franzen is picking it up nicely, and i think if they could just get their horses all healthy at once, they would be much better off.

 

The Red Wings will be leaning more on backup goalie Jonas Gustavsson, who is 8-1-2. Why? you may ask. Because Howard sprained his MCL and is out 2 to 4 weeks. That sucks!

 

If the Blackhawks can win without their two top goalies, the Wings can do the same. Just gotta outscore everybody. *WALL*

The injuries this season have been a bich. Tougher when cBS wont let you sustitute till the following scoring period too. On ESPN, you can make roster changes and lineup changes all week long...its moar better in that regard.
