On the road too catfish. The "overripe thing" is overstated because not all of these guys are ripe yet. Just because they don't toss them in the fire right away, it doesn't mean they're committed to overripening. We've seen lots of players that haven't been even ripe the last 3 years. Better for the wings to get one of those out of the way for all the Wings' players to remind them why you don't take your foot off of the gas. Against a high scoring team it might have been dismissed too easily. It was a tough loss but I think Babcock needed one of the these to embarass the guys so he could get them on the right track since they've had so much ugliness at home. Better now than in March.
More bad news for the Red Wings. Helm has hurt his shoulder and will not travel with the team to play Friday in New Jersey. Helm will under go an MRI today to determine the severity of the damage. This keeps up and the Wings may as well call up the entire Griffins team.
dammit! those snake-bitten Red Wings centers! i've been using Helm (very effectively in fantasy league). hmmm... Nyquist.
Nyquist won't go down just to spite Holland for loading up the roster with Sore boobs and Cleary and Tootoo while he wasted time in GR.
Gustavsson gets the call... Gustavsson takes a 7-0-1 record and 2.16 goals-against average into Friday's game against the New Jersey Devils. Wings need a bounce back performance tonight.
