Detroit Red Wings

I would like Parros on the team. But, Im not going to hold my breath. You would think with the Datsyuk injury and the lack of Bert lately, the Wings would go out and get someone who can help out. Its gotta be something they must be considering at least, especially the way some of the top contenders in the EC are set up. You know I wouldnt mind if the Wings got a little bit tougher.

 

i hope the reference to bert's shoulder is accurate, and it's not his back as was originally speculated.

Datsyuk says he's feeling a little better, but not completely well yet. He did not skate today at practice and is not making the trip to New York or Ottawa. Looks to me like he really took a shot. No penalty, and no discipline...im sorry, but that is BS. I know its over, and it is what it is, im just venting. Why in the hell was nothing done?

Im going to get this book, as soon as i can. Looks very interesting. Always nice to hear things first hand, instead of threw the grape vine. Think I'll ask for it for Christmas.

 

Red Wings have won 3 straight, and 4 of their last 5. They are doing well and keeping pace with the 1st place Bruins. Only 3 points behind them, for 1st place in the EC. Alfredsson with 2 goals tonight, and Helm with 2 also. Jimmy Howard looked very sharp in goal. Wings beat the Islanders 5-0.

i like what McCarty said at "my truth". i think he put that in a very eloquent and objective way. i laugh at the notion that there is only ONE TRUTH, especially when you hear it when in the context of testimony in a "court of law" (whatever in the f**k that means).

Nothing like winning...and they have been doing it pretty well as of late. Seems like all of a sudden, the passing has been a work of art, and the puck control has really improved at both ends of the ice. Gotta love how they shut down the SOG too. Hope this little streak continues for a while. Must have been Datsyuk' fault.

Alfredsson's return to Ottawa is over. He picks up a goal and an assist and Miller scores twice and the Red Wings win, 4-2. Four straight for the Wings in the win department. Playing some goot hockey in Berts and Datsyuks absence.

Well, no Datsyuk against the Flyers tomorrow, and still not real sure on Bert...he just might be back in time for the Flyers, havnt heard anything definite yet.

Im wondering who gets the nod in goal for the Wings. When bert and Dats come back, who gets the scratch?

 

Breaking news...and its bad. Zetterberg out two weeks, atleast.

 

That stings. Loading up the roster while the big salaries are out is cutting into Kenny's flexibility against the cap.

 

Hank is out? WTF! that really sucks, bad enough with Dats. well atleast Bert is getting close. man this team is getting banged up quick. I really like how this team has stepped up with some important players out. dont underestimate DeKeyser being out either, hes not far from being a top line pairing. i already think hes better than Ericsson and outside of experience Id put him over Kronwall(whos shockingly been pretty healthy)
