7 of their next 8 are at home. Time to take advantage and make a surge in the standings. Very important part of the schedule, imo.

 

Tootoo clears waivers. Tootoo will remain in Detroit until Jonathan Ericsson comes off long-term injured reserve next week. Unless the Red Wings suffer another injury, Tootoo eventually will be assigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

That 1st line of Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Bertuzzi, was a thing of beauty to watch last night. They played fantastic. Datsyuk was in crazy form and showing off his skills, one shift after another. Sure hated to see the Wings lose that one.

I forgot to mention...Adam Almquist scored his first NHL goal last night in just his second game. Good for him. He shows some good speed too.
