You'll need the anti-Carbomb. He'll be rested and ready to go after sitting in the booth for 2 weeks.
He should be suspended . But since its the playoffs , wont happen. (See Shea Weber in last years playoffs). Did he make fun of the incident in practice yet ?
Will Bertuzzi start tomorrow or will Babcock continue to "go with who got them there"? He better not make him a healthy scratch again.
Wings won but not the way they should have. This game should have been over when Franzen made it 4-1 but they made so many mistakes in the 3rd period, mostly due to mental mistakes and bad game management. Emmerton turned the puck over at the blue line when the Wings were desperate for a clear but didn't get it out. Ten seconds later Quincey gets called for interference trying to clear his man out in front of the net. Howard came off the post too soon on Getzlaf's goal after he was allowed to get in front of the net from behind the goal line. The Wings went into a defensive shell and they don't have the depth to do that for 18 minutes, even with a three goal lead. They had a powerplay at the 18 minute mark and did nothing with it. Near the end of it they were playing defense in their own zone, letting the Ducks pass it around like they were the ones with the man advantage. They needed to put them away instead of sitting back and playing with six goalies. Too much inexperience from the 3rd and 4th lines and 2nd and 3rd defensive pairings to do that. That's all I'm going to say about the game. DeKeyser's out for the rest of the playoffs so depth will be even more of an issue now. I don't know what Babcock will do with the blue line. Maybe Lashoff I guess. He doesn't have a lot of options. All in all I'm happy they won the game and are going back to Detroit tied 1-1.
Yep dekuyaer goin down was not a good thing. Not sure what to take out of that game. Dis they just let up or was that a sign of thinga to come. 1-0 w big bert in the lineup!
Boring 3rd last night. I hate the injuries. Too bad for DeKeyser, Eller, etc. 5-4 OT is about as good as it gets for me.
I had found one mention on the internet that the NHL put this stat out for a few years, but stopped making it public in 2002. I don't know the veracity, or whether or not it gave some hideous betting advantage, or what, but that's the only thing I even found about it.
lashoff in for dekeyser. mlive reporting that he broke the thumb in a collision. glad it wasn't a cheap shot slash.
they stopped making that info public, in the interest of national security... remember, Al Qaeda hates hockey (and freedom).
