I afraid your right, Matty. Thing that bugs me the most is the have been so hesitant to do anything. Now its condition critical and they find themselves in a very deep hole. Your right about it taking time too... the damage of bad contracts, lack of FA acquisitions and a coaching staff that seems lost has been done.

I'm kinda surprised how Holland looked like a genius for years and then let the wheels fall off. I'm even doubting his competence at this point.

Goalies need tweaked also, its a bloody mess.

lol about Carley. I was wondering if anyone had noticed. She's very nice... of course Rozanne Barr would look nice next to Ken Cal, lol... well I wouldn't go quite that far, but you know what I mean.

 

Id take the Canucks route if I were the Wings, not that the Canucks are anything to write home about. They have some real promise though and should have the opportunity to improve by adding veterans in FA to that young core. Everyone (over 23) should be available.

Red Wings jump out 3-0 and lose in weird fashion, 7-6 in OT. Islanders can play some offensive hockey, but defensively they look full of holes. Not quite what you want from a playoff team.

On the other hand - the Wings flat out suck and need to actually blow things up... instead they cant even do that right. Kinda half-assed about their direction right now. I'm frustrated... can you tell?

 

Petr Mrazek traded to the Flyers... good buy Petr, not much of a fan anyway. Good player with a bad tude.
