He's got a great, hard shot and a nack for knowing what to do with the puck. He has been a great asset to that D... Chara looking better as of late too. I knew Goose was going to be a good one. Just keep him healthy and the combo of Rask and Goose is a great thing. Gustavsson play should motivate Rask also.
In part from Ansar Khan; Mlive... Kronwall delivered his first big open-ice hit of the season in the first period, leveling Mark Letestu. Kronwall then scored his first goal of the season ? 26 seconds into overtime to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers at Joe Louis Arena. The Red Wings (12-8-3) have gained at least one point in six consecutive games (4-0-2). This one, against the team with the worst record in the NHL, was more difficult than it needed to be. The Red Wings squandered a two-goal lead in the second period and for the sixth time this season lost a lead in the third period. But it didn't matter in the end, when Kronwall took a pass from Dylan Larkin during a two-on-one and fired a shot past Cam Talbot. "Larks made a real nice play -- held on to it, held on to it and made a nice pass over," Kronwall said. "I just tried to put it on net and luckily it went in." It was Kronwall's first goal since March 29, ending a 28-game drought. ____________________________________________________________________________ Wings on a roll. Glad to hear from Kronwall too.
Damm Panthers waltzed into the Motor City and came back and beat Detroit, 2-1 in OT. I believe thats 5 straight at the Joe for the Panthers. They like it there, i guess.
"Entering December, I think we're maturing as a team. Early in the year, we played from behind a lot. We overcame that and we've been playing with the lead a lot more. Now we've got to find a way to finish these close games that we're ahead in and walk away with two points, especially this month. We need to take advantage of this part of the schedule with seven games at The Joe before the holiday break." - Henrik Zetterberg

Red Wings @ Washington Capitols tonight. 7pm et. start. Caps are one of the best teams in the NHL in my opinion... this will be a big game for the Wings tonight.
Red Wings looked good against Washington, but not so good in the shootout. Caps win on OTSO, 3-2. Wings points streak is still in tacked. ____________________________________________________
