Opinions on Kenny and Babcock should not be influenced by postseason performance. What they did during the regular season was far more meaningful than the flukey things that happen in the postseason. Every team gets on hot and cold streaks and Detroit rode a hot streak into the postseason. Move the playoffs a month in either direction and I'm not sure they are in game 7 of the 2nd round.

Judge Babcock and Holland for having a roster that made the post season and for having a roster that could compete with the better teams in the league, not a few playoff games. They had an excellent year.

Even though the Wings lost I'm glad it ended early in OT instead of three hours later. My heart couldn't have taken that much.

Overall a fantastic season for the Wings. I can't wait for October already. Full season with DeKeyser on the blue line, Helm will be back, a good amount of $ for free agency (not that I expect Kenny to make a huge splash anyway), and no 9pm/10pm games (until maybe June)
