Still, at this moment there is no power at the JLA. My Tuesday night better have some Wings, dammitt.
Thats poor ol' Gordie's 3rd stroke in the past 2 months. Family calling for prayers. Last report I read said he was somewhat alert.
On a brighter note - pun intended... GAME ON! Power has been restored at The Joe & the Red Wings' 7:30 PM matchup against Florida will be played as scheduled.
Wings looked disinterested. Panthers deserved the W. They came back at the end, but too little too late.
Yesterday, an MRI revealed Mr. Hockey didnt have a stroke after all. Turns out to have been dehydration. Still not in great shape, but a better report none the less.

when gordie played, he was a man among boys. the closest analogy i can think of from anything vaguely recent was corliss williamson in arkansas' championship hoops run.
a sCoreliss reference, auto +1 Gordie was one of those guys like Orr where you could drop them in any generation and they would be superstars. they were both tough as nails and the best players to ever lace them up. You need a goal? theyll get it, someone need thier ass kicked? theyll do it. how much more can you ask for
Last night's game was a perfect example of why I love Drew Miller's game so much. He and Glendening basically killed off back-to-back 5-on-3's in the 3rd period by themselves. Stuff like that is why Miller and Glendening are never healthy scratches. They are invaluable in those situations.
Right on, Maurice. They were totally freaking everybody out. It was a thing of beauty to behold. Nobody could figure out how they have so much energy. I was on the edge of my seat, but only when I had to sit down to post... it was unforgettable what they did last night. The crowd was electrified when they put on their PK clinic. Pumped up everyone.
great, great win. i'm sure i speak for bob when i say they won that game with grit, compete level, and effort.
Without question. Unfortunately I didn't watch it. At a glance I would say Babs solved NYR's pp after giving up a pair a few weeks ago. Only 8 pp shots with all those chances, nice for Babs, bad for the Rags.
