let's hope he took frank n. furter's advice to heart, and not only wised up, but also firmed his thighs up.
It's Abby's bobblehead night at the JLA. Below is a picture from Bill Roose that shows him admiring it. Datsyuk then said; "It's first time you have your head up.". Funny stuff...
So I'm watching Detroit, and expecting them to win tonight and I notice another announcing crew mention how 19 or 23 on the active roster have only been on the Wings. They called them a "model" in terms of building from within. What they didn't add for perspective purposes was that the last time they won, they used 10 players that were with other organizations during their playoff run. The last time they were in the finals, they used 9. Now there's no doubt that they were built around their own players and that is very significant, I'm not suggesting that they weren't built mostly from their own picks and initial signings. My point is that there's no reason to hype up that type of team construction until they actually accomplish something, like division wins, deep playoff runs, etc. It's like calling the wings "young" when they had only 7 players dressed tonight under 27 years of age. They're a great franchise up and down (outside of the JLA and music playlist). They have decades of being good at hockey without a break, I see no reason to diminish what they've done with bullshit cliches and misleading storylines.
