You know what? After watching the Sabres play Boston the other day. It seems to me, the sog dont always honestly tell the whole story. Toronto, for example, have been giving up a ton of sog, but can put together wins. Buffalo made their shots count and showed no quit. In hindsight it's not fair of me to completely put the outcome on the Wings napping, or taking Buffalo lightly, but the fact that the Sabres played well enough to win. I just had a feeling things wernt going to go well going into that game. My 'old' computer does the same thing with that word. It is an odd spelling of what should be a simply spelled word. Must be French. Good win for the Sabres. The goal by Franzen had Twitter all shook-up. He was in the blue and shouldnt have been. I guess what get's peoples goat is when goaltenders do a Price type thing and sell it to the refs. I wonder if replay review would help in that regard or not?
ON THIS DAY 72 years ago, forward Carl Liscombe scored three goals and added four assists in the Red Wings 12-5 win vs. the Rangers. I expect the same results tonight, but maybe not from Liscombe.
good post Matty but its also sad and pathetic to me. Pretty sad our enforcer is a swedish defenseman, good thing he was out there too because outside of him everyone lays down or talks and hopes the refs get there before they actually have to do something
How has teletubby and Tater tot been looking in the neutral and defensive zones this year? I've seen a number of wings games but I haven't focused on them as much as I've meant to.
It's like the hate for the Wings is slowing drifting away, I'm not into them as much as I have been even though I think they're a really interesting team this year. Ginsu 2000 display tonight, hope he's okay. Zebras fucking with Daniels tonight or something, that was a bad miss.
I think they are a work in progress defensively, but getting better all the time. Their clearing the zone better and making less turnovers. It seems with the more PT they get the better their passing. IMO, their work along the boards could use some improvement, but Im knit picking. Bottom line for me, the more ice they see, the better they are getting. I think their moving forward. Shiitt happens, but that was non-sense. You could hear Babs yell from the bench, 'he had the puck', which is saying, what in the world are you looking at? They are plain ol' fun to watch. A completely different team from the past few years and healthy up front for once. Howard's play has been nothing short of brilliant and watching Hank and Pavel do their thing, mixed in with all the new and improved Griff's, makes them an always in the game team, so far. Nice to see some good luck around them for a change.
excellent officiating last night. Hate blaming the refs for a loss but this has been happening a lot lately Ive officially seen enough of Nyquist and I knew he was pretty good but I think this guy has superstar written all over him. He has it all and never floats through shifts. I like him a lot, still think Jurco is gonna be a stud. the Wings need to start drafting more defensemen, their like pitchers in baseball can never have enough of them
I hate to jinx anything but is anyone else in the back of their mind just hoping Howie doesnt get hurt? this is as good as Ive seen him play since the playoffs a few years ago. he has been stellar, the saves hes been making have been remarkable. He seems to be peaking. Plz dont get hurt man ;D
Speaking of injuries. The injury to Gustavsson's shoulder is going to keep him out for weeks. It time for Petr Mrazek. He's up with the Wings.
I don't hate them as much anymore, but I still feel dirty rooting for the Blackhawks when they're playing teams in the Wings' division (other than the Wings, of course).
