All sources are reporting that Pavel Datsyuk WILL play in tonights game against the Habs. Dats has had that shoulder thing to deal with, but is a go for tonight.

i picked up a printed schedule the other day, after buying a hot and (almost) ready to keep mr. ilitch out of the poor house (i had to wait a couple minutes, hence the almost), and i noticed an oddity about this game and this month that wouldn't have been obvious otherwise.

tonight's game is the only game the wings play this month on a sunday, monday, or tuesday. *SCRATCH*

That is odd. As a matter of fact, I think the scheduling has been a bit off this season already. They are jamming all the games together and having a day with one, maybe two, featured games. I like my hockey spread out, so that every night there may be a choice of which game to watch... unlike last night's rather arbitrary game.

 

Im also going to have to find out who gets sent down to make room for #13 on the roster. Cleary?

I havnt seen it in writing, but a light bulb above my head lit up. Franzen just went to the IR, so that should have cleared up the roster spot... Im thinking. (...and it hurts)

I like the Mule but Ive had him on my team a couple other times and every other time he did this to me. Hed either get hurt when I played him or go on a 20 game goal drought

I like the previews too, cutter. Was pleasantly surprised to see them being released on youtube. Im going to try and remember to keep them a regular feature here.

 

Hate to see a great game decided by a controversial call. Very disappointing. Got out of there with a point anyways. I really felt Datsyuk had his first. So... I move on.

 

matty, just to clarify - while i'm always happy to take any opportunity to rag on His Jackness, the squealing 12 year old girl comment was in reference to Ken Kal. he doesn't do it on the game previews, but unless the wings are shutout and play terribly, he does it during the broadcasts (he's the radio play by play guy).

 

Babs has given the team the day off. Say's he wants them fresh for Thursday's game against the Pens.

That's nice of him.

Oh. I almost forgot. Babs has also said the Jimmy will start in goal vs Pittsburgh.

Wings had the 5th oldest opening night roster, and they missed on Boyle.

To be fair, Mantha will eventually make the roster and push them closer to double digits by the end of the year. Even Babs has to allow Cleary to be waived at some point too.

They had no chance in hell of catching NJ in age, and Broduer is retired. %)

Im just messing with you, Bob. They are trending towards a more younger roster and thats cool by me. I also wanted you to see that web-site and tell me what you think. I never saw it before... it looks good. I found it rather interesting.
