The defense isn't having a good game.

Love Spielman the Lions fan tho, "thats a nice little stiffarm there". Stiffarms before the catch are called OPI you fucking mouth breather.

The entire defense dropped 10+ yards, and still gave up a 15 yard throw into the zone.

 

Right now the ILBs sans Noquan on a slot WR because you can’t trust Skrine are. Danny T’s has had a great 1st half

 

Spielman is opening acting as the Lions color man

 

Why is he getting behind the defense there, though? I went back and watched that a few times real fast, and you've got Skrine, Fuller, and Jackson all there for it. You can make the excuse for Jackson that he had deep middle responsibility, but that means then that he rolled to the middle, Gipson to the deep left, and then presumably Fuller / Skrine to the deep right. Unless Fuller had his guy in man with no deep support, and Skrine was just in no-man's land...

 

Why does A-Rob never seem to get good separation? Is he not a great route runner or is the scheme?

 

Robinson is approaching 1000 yards. With this offense, with these QB's, and having missed time with injury. He's gonna get paid next year, and presumably by a team with a real QB.

Something I'm not sure will ever come back after COVID - field tours of Soldier Field. I got to bust my ass on a snow-covered Soldier Field two years ago, and I want so badly to share that with my son. Something I think about every damn time I watch them play at home, now...
