Im leaning Cooper as the Cowboys are more likely to have a passing attack offense. I dont think the titans are all of a sudden going to turn into a pass first offense.

For Biased reason I would take Jones ........and lets not forget A.Cooper has a bad ankle and may not be ready for training camp ???

I'm sure he will be ready for the start of the season but we all know how painfully long a ankle injury can be.

If you are only concerned about this upcoming season and could care less about the future seasons then take Jones and the chip that will be on his shoulders because of being traded away from his long time organization.

I don't know how many days you are planning before posting up a new versus between players, so just give me a heads up and I'll make sure to get my opinion in before you do.

I'd like to see some more opinions on this but I already have mine ready.

    I'll give it a spin.

Julio Jones gets my vote and here is why... In Tennessee Jones should get plenty of targets as a lot of teams will play in the box to stop the run and defenses will be hard pressed to double-cover Jones as that leaves A.J. Brown to look out for and Josh Reynolds.

    Tannehill must be salivating already.

I was waiting to find out the answer to:

I think you pretty much know what you are getting with Coop... 1,100-1,200 yards and 5-9 TDs. He will be consistent for the next few years at least. So for a Dynasty point of view, he should be consistent in scoring ranks between 10-20 during that 3-4 year time period, barring injury.

With Julio, new system, new QB. A lot of unknowns. Coming off a nagging injury...at 32 years young. I don't worry about the other guys around him taking too much away, he has had that most of his career in Atlanta. I worry more about the chemistry. OBJ is one of the best in football, but he has not been able to develop chemistry with Baker and it shows. Baker was a better QB when he was out. Hamstring injuries are a damning injury. He couldn't get over the one last season. With a whole off season for recovery...it SHOULD be ok. But at 32, the body doesn't heal like it used to. If it gets re-aggravated early in the year, he will fall significantly.

The upside is DEFINITELY with Julio though. If he does stay healthy, he is capable of being in the top3 in your fantasy scoring. I don't think you get that with Cooper.

Long term, dynasty, I would go Cooper..

If I'm going for a championship in a re-draft league, I'm taking my chances with Julio.

I have reservations about both of these guys relative to their current ADP’s.

I would rather draft A.J. Brown and CeeDee Lamb.

Tanehill has a lot of weapons this year.......he has "Oh Henry" to run ball and 3 good WR's to throw too.

And another player to watch out for is TE Anthony Firskser......this guy could have a Break Out Year

I’m definitely with you on Brown and Lamb, but I’m interested in where you’re going with the relation to the ADP.

Is your thought process that Jones/Cooper have an ADP that is high enough that, relative to Brown and Lamb, you would simply draft the latter early to avoid the former later?

I’m holding him in at least two dynasty leagues. So I’m curious, that chatter about “he still has to earn the job” roughly a month ago, that doesn’t concern you?
I mean I don’t see any real receiving threats to his job on the roster (unless you want to include lost targets to Julio). But nonetheless, I would rather the coaches had said nothing.

Was just saying I’d be more comfortable with Brown and Lamb at their current ADP’s than I would with Jones and Cooper at theirs, and would probably be looking at other players in those ranges.

That is a very good question Ruth and yes I was concerned.........Titans have signed TE Geoff Swaim to a one year contract and I think the plan is use Firsker on 3rd down attempts.........I feel Anthony is ready this year to break out and become a reliable target for Tannehill.....I think he will be a good draft pick in Fantasy and Kudos for your teams to pick him.....he is going to get you PTS.

So this one was a tougher 'versus' to sort though than the first one. If you had a betting option that was essentially a push, that might be what I would take here.

Since this is an 'either/or', I'll go ahead and put my opinion on record so that someone can cuss me out at a later date...

I'm taking Julio Jones here for a few reasons:
    1. I don't see anything in Cooper's history with the Cowboys that suggests he will be dominant this season
    2. CeeDee Lamb is an emerging star and I consider him the top of Dallas' fantasy depth chart for receivers
    3. Both players should put up 1,000 yards or more this season if they remain healthy
    4. This should come down to touchdown totals and with 5.5 being the likely over under, I'll take Julio as being the slightly stronger bet for that
Now, if you move this conversation into the purposes of being a long hold for dynasty, then there are a couple questions that could continue to keep Jones out ahead of Cooper.

First, will the Cowboys decide to move on from Amari in the 2022 off-season if he has a season where the TDs remain around 5 and he dips some in yardage? An argument could be made that the best time to get a strong return on dealing Amari would be next off-season as the Cowboys would save roughly $16mil and Cooper would still be only 28 years old. There are a lot of teams that would be in the market for his services. This option could be strongly dependent on Michael Gallup taking the next step in his career.

With Jones, he could be playing playoff football for the remainder of his contract in Tennessee. Considering his ability to be a big target as the #2 opposite Brown and the reasonable price tag he will play under, I would assume that he will remain a Titan throughout his current deal.

So the long term hold may get reformed more into the short term as both players may be on limited time with their current roster. A change in scenery and quarterback may drastically change their value, so the difference in age may be something that I am willing to overlook as I believe Julio may be in a prime situation to become more productive in the redzone. Considering CeeDee Lamb was the preferred redzone target for Dallas when Dak was healthy last season, I'm inclined to go with Jones in both scenarios.

It's everything. Don't think Julio has too many years left Lotta tread on those tires.

How about all of these for both redraft and dynasty from now on?

    Baker Mayfield or Derek Carr?
