The guy wipes off all the unshaved shaving cream and it's a miracle, he has a perfectly clean shaven face.

If you believe in conspiracy theories her are some things that will feed your addiction.

With 2:02 on the clock the Patriots kick off sending the ball through the end zone for a touch-back thus insuring the Seahawks will have 4 chances to stop the clock. Why would you give a team an extra stoppage? Simple you know you are going to win the game

Your opponent has the ball on the one with 50 seconds to go and you have 2 timeouts yet you let the clock continue to drift down if they were to score you would have less than 20 seconds to get into field goal range. Why let precious time click off the clock? Because you know that you will win the game

You have the ball on the 1 with the best short yardage back in the game today and you go with a quick slant to a guy who has 18 receptions vs a fade to the corner or even better using Beast mode. Instead you go Least mode with a poor percentage pass and throw an interceptions. Why? Because you have been ordered to loose the game (who I will leave up to the tin hat crew).

Excellent work. You have been nominated for senior manager of information by the CDR (conspiracies dedicated to ridiculousness). Actually I didn't vet your info about the timeouts but it appears you bring up some good points. Did Beli-cheat have to answer any questions about that? The media walks in locked step with the NFL usually and there are millions of dollars / reasons why that is the case. The Washington Post offered this explanation:

"Belichick?s choice to not use a timeout, though, made life more difficult for the Seahawks by complicating their play-calling options. It may have even convinced them to throw their ill-fated pass on second down."

Nobody wants to kill the golden goose.

Maybe we can talk about PSI more now that the NFL is hinting most of the balls in question were pretty OK. No need to ask these kinds of questions about the game. Let's talk about PSI some more.

To escape continuous media scrutiny and fans attacking his property, Daryl Bevell was seen boarding a plane to Hawaii. That Plane belongs to Robert Kraft.

He was also the crash site detective that interviewed Buddy Hackett, Mickey Rooney, Sid Ceasar, Jonathon Winters, and Milton Berle in It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World.

  11. Does the spotter work in the same stadium each week?

People reacting negativity towards this rule need to take up a hobby (maybe Knitting). We have already seen in the past players will not police themselves when it comes to concussions. We have also seen that teams will not do the right thing. This isnt going to be some high school student picking up a few bucks calling for the stop. So a player who is just slow to get up is not going to always mean a stoppage. It is going to be someone trained to spot concussion systems. We have all seen guys on the field who should not have been. The Refs cant keep track of it, the coaches are a little busy with the game, the players will not do it and medical staff on the sideline are being paid by teams and are not always looking for the best interest of the player. People are all screaming that players and teams will try to use this to their advantage but I dont think it will go on for lone if they try at all. If a player fakes a concussion to stop the clock he is going to be subject to concussion protocols so it will quickly become evident if a player is faking. It will not take long for the NFL to tweak the rule and if a player is found to be faking a concussion there will no doubt be serious consequences. Concussions are currently a hot button topic with the NFL they will not allow players, coaches or teams to fake this injury to gain a competitive advantage.

  13. i'm just curious about if the spotter is a local doctor or is assigned to a different game each week like refs.

You're right, what we need is more rules, not less. More rules solve everything. More rules create more certainty and less ambiguity. More rules are always implemented to make things better and with no other intended purpose. I should've thought of that.

can the spotters and doctors be on the field during play? I want to see a concussion doctor peering into the ear hole of an amped up OLB just before the snap. or have the spotter crawl along the line of scrimmage, checking the lineman for signs of a concussion as the play clock is winding down. on that note, can the spotters be uberhawt bikini models? or pornstars in skimpy clothing? The Goodell Show is gonna need a bigger clown car.

I know a few more rules that we could have

Of Course being you think its all fixed why do you care what rules there are anyways?

If this rule keeps a player like Edelman going back into the Superbowl or Ben from going back into the game against the Ravens, then its a good rule. It has become obvious that expecting the current method for detecting concussions to work is flawed, so they need a better way. I hope it works.

Mano has a point, our only chance against the Ravens would have been for Gradkowski to finish the game. Ben was too loopy to play at that point.

Asking a question like that is the equivalent of someone saying "if you don't love the country then leave it" to a guy who is criticizing some corrupt things about a country.

Of course I never said it "all" was fixed but kudos for the cutesy disinformation. I give you a negative one! :)

Places like this board are the only small places where a majority of people think the NFL is on the up and up these days. I find it amusing, just like I find the NFL amusing (which I mentioned some pages back). I've said many times it's still a good excuse to have beers with the guys if nothing else. And I've cheered for the Steelers my whole life so what the heck.

I still say this rule is stupid for all the reasons the many people who commented under the story in the link did.

Let's make more rules that are subject to more interpretation and slow the game down more with more commercials all the while ignoring the fact that the rule changes needed the most are the ones like "make pass interference a reviewable play." Plays that impact the game the most are not reviewable. That is suspicious to anyone with critical thinking abilities still intact.

    Now Good Day Sir!
