i wondered how much of what i liked about the song was because of janis and big brother, and how much was the song itself. having just played big mama thornton's version (she wrote the song), gotta give big mama the credit. janis and big brother did nothing different in their arrangement, it's just a damn good blues tune.

 

Lulz gets a + for bringing Janis to M-n-C.

Interesting trivia: Who sat in front of Janis in H.S. homeroom class? ... Some jock named Jimmy Johnson.

i think Don should have been on the right instead of the left. Maclean's suit would have "popped" better with the red script behind him. Cherry stands out anyways, so put him on the right with the dark background. poor art direction in that segment. the content was good... well, as good as Cherry can be.

how much does he pay for those suits? they look to be high quality but I have to assume that they're just piecemealed together from left over fabric.

 

I dont know, but his autographed stuff sure goes for a bundle. I tried finding a dollar amount on the web, but couldnt find anything from Don or his tailor. The store that sells his suits is nice looking tho. Anyway, I found this surfing around. Never seen it before and 'The Rick Mercer Report' is a pretty funny Canadian show...here's Don with Rick...

the above segment is very educational. they should show this in grade school during educational film day (Tuesdays if i recall correctly). every canadian and american youngster should know where and how those suits are made.

 

i was almost certain that Don kept a bunch of chinese refugees in his basement to handle that epic task.

damn you and your question, red! i just pictured Grapes in about 10 different scenarios at home... and none of them were appetizing.

 

i have a funny Elton John story. it didn't happen to me, but to a couple of people i know. my friends Werner (6'4" Aryan type from Austria) and Tom (Sabres fan) were installing art at Gianni Versace's house in NYC. apparently, Sir Elton was arriving to the house to visit his friend Gianni. the butler/houseman enters the room and announces, "<ahem, ahem>(yes, he actually cleared his throat), all commoners report to the downstairs, please." then he turned and left. so i said to Werner, "what did you guys do?" Werner said, "we just looked at each other, shrugged, and kept on working."

 

I'm still trying to figure why he has numbers randomly placed in that article.

 

I should have clarified. On Twitter he couldnt just rant, so he divided his rant into 7 separate tweets. So, I just copied what he said instead of all 7 separate tweets.
