All of Orpik's hits are clean and he is never called for a penalty! Cutter, the one that likes the rough stuff, but doesn't seem to like players that play clean. No penalty was called on Eriksson's hit by Orpik. It was a legal hit. But slew footing a player with his back turned and punching him when he's down on the ice and unable to defend himself is okay, right? Gimmee a breakand make up your mind!

 

I take it you guys hated Scott Stevens?

Thornton skated from down near the Fleury to skate up and attack Orpik with his back turned. Tripped him down and started puching him in the face. yes i got that from this!

 

so he says "i don't like what he did here" and u translate that into he thinks it was ok. gotcha.

This is about as ditch worthy as it gets

 

the reason no penalty was called on Orpik's hit of Ericcson (Ericsson/Erixsson, whatever) is that the hit was clean. hard? YES, but clean. then NeckFace Julien sends out the goon and Orpik tells Thorny "no thanks", and that he doesn't want to go for a ride. Thorny then attacks Orpik because Neal takes a fish-in-the-barrel shot at Marchy who is laying on the ice (as per usual, don't believe me? look at the pic i posted in the Broonz thread). they actually practice that s**t. why didn't Thornton go after Neal? is Thornton a silverback or a lowlands gorilla? does Thornton and Lucic fight over the tire swing? there are so many questions that need to be answered from this mess.

 

...and it might make for an interesting game next time these two teams get together.

 

yeah, i'm envisioning a Pens-Isles type of 5-on-5 battle royale. the next possible meeting for these two will be in the playoffs, so either the dust will have completely settled or it will be volcanic. still curious about that tire swing though.

 

I'd like to see Engelland and Thornton go. Derryk is one of my favorite tough guys and he rarely dissappoints

 

Im sure they will next time around. Engelland and Lucic had a decent bout the other night before the Stoopidds came out.
