I wouldn't trust Poles to get my newspaper from the porch. No way in hell im letting him pick the next QB.

Its still early, give it time. By the end of this season everyone will understand just how bad Poles has failed.

If it's Caleb Williams, any GM is going to take him at #1. Even Poles couldn't screw that up.

But to your point, even if we do draft Williams, why should we have any faith that the o-line is any better next year? Chances are it will be worse.

 

BTW guys, there is precedent for QB's refusing to play for a drafting team. Elway did it, so did Eli. Why exactly would any QB want to come to this team? Someone explain that to me.

Funny, in a way this could be like an IQ test of sorts. If the guy is smart enough to know he wants to avoid a shit situation, it would make me want him even more.

This is the best rant I've ever heard. Like he said, this is totally unhealthy. I personally think Fields is fucked. Mentally.

 

The o line has been bad but our QB holds the ball too long. Did it last year and is doing it again. The all 22 did Justin no favors last week and I am sure it will be worse this week. Receivers running open and Fields holding the ball and taking a sack is becoming the norm. Why? Why doesn’t he pull the trigger when it’s there? I don’t know if a QB can just all of a sudden read the field faster. If they can’t wipe it clean and start over next season.

 

That red zone play where the O-line gave Fields plenty of time, and he had 3 WR open, and opted to barrel into the chest of two defensive Tackles. That is when I lost hope in Fields as a starter.
