The end of the Chargers game showed two issues.

1. Yes the kicker needs to make that kick. Period. No excuses.

2. Nagy needs to do better as the HC. If you are going to go conservative and take a knee. Which is an issue onto itself. You have to have shit set up that makes ball placement an automatic.
