I agree on both points. The players have responded to him in a big way.

I definitely defer to Lyman on Browns stuff, as he's a lot more knowledgable. But I've been a supporter since I started really appreciating the sport, when I was younger. I've always wanted to see the Browns succeed, and have followed them as a second to the Bears (distant, but closer than any other). Aside from Lyman, the fans on these boards make it hard to root for them, but it's great seeing them claw out of the basement - presumably for more than just this year.

I do think that Williams will get a shot at a HC gig for the coming year, if the Browns finish strong. I don't think that the team really has the option of keeping him at DC and bringing someone new in. Ideally, that would work out, but it may also be that Williams back at DC with a new HC creates another power struggle in Berea, so I'm not sure that would be as ideal as it sounds...

Tuna brings up a good point, though, that coaching opportunities for Williams might be more scarce, given the trend he mentions. It would be worth going through each team and looking at the prospects that they'd hire Williams if the Browns don't keep him at HC.

Girlfriend update: She has now bought a handful of Bears merchandise, so that she can proudly represent. This includes a shirt that says, "B.E.A.R. to keep kids off cheese", playing on the old "D.A.R.E." message. I'm busy looking for the ring, now.

Sounds like a hell of an arrangement, my friend. Living the damn dream. Here's to us both having lucked out. Cheers.
These sound like the only conditions under which it's acceptable to marry a Packers fan. Well done, man. Glad to hear she sees reason. Also cool to get insight on Danica. Sounds about right.

Better lock that woman down dline...she's a keeper.

My 2nd wife was a Packers fan. I'd say that's why I divorced her but it was more because she was just a dirty whore.

It's not like I asked you to look at it. Unless you want to. Because I'd show.

So derailing again but I had an amazing time Sunday at the game. I said on here that my voice would be gone for a week and it's been gone the last two days.

My dad also, said that this weekend was one of the best of his life. So I felt I did my duty as a good son for taking him to the game.

Yeah, I'd damn imagine so, Boonie. Cheers to you and your dad - must have been a hell of a game to be there for. If this season ends well, it's gonna be an even sweeter memory. Well done to you and those in the stands - nice and loud from the TV side.
