I agree with all of that. I'm not saying this team is a world beater. And Trubisky has quickly become the bird poop on our brand new clean car... But, 3-0 is a meaningful stat with Tampa coming in here after playing the Steelers and on a short week. I said it before, that Packers loss was one of the most frustrating losses I've ever seen as a Bears fan.
I think we all have pretty high standards, and that's what's frustrating. This teams ceiling could be so much higher than it will end up being. All this. I mean the D is a bunch of world beaters (we can nitpick the couple of busted coverages) and the Offense looks like something resurrected from the Shoop era. Everything rests of Nagy and Trubisky, and in my mind the latter moreso at the moment. We have an awesome 2 headed running machine, the Oline has actually looked pretty decent especially in the run. The WRs and TEs have gotten separation at times. But the head of this beast is still not clicking, and it sucks. I'm hoping things turn around for this kid but man I hope I calm down after I sleep this off.
Called that in the gamethread soon as i saw it. He actually did it again later in the game at least once more, possibly twice. You keep doing that often enough and eventually the only option is surgical, but there's a good chance Miller isn't at that point yet. Wouldn't surprise me if they sit him next week tho. Between that and the bye it would give Miller 3 weeks to recuperate. Yep. Its no stretch at all to say this team should be 3-0 right now. But they should've hammered the Seahawks, and but for a slow 1st Q from the Defense and a slow entire game from Trubisky this wouldn't have been close. The truth is the Bears have played 3 bad teams so far. But you look around the league and there's actually a lot of pretty bad teams out there. Texans, Cowboys, Patriots... all viewed as potential playoff teams this year. Ok that was generous in the case of the Patriots, but the bottom line is those 3 teams stink.
