For anyone interested, Pickett played a much better game against the Browns defense than Purdy played. Pickett was at 50% completions with 222 yds a TD and a INT. Purdy was 44% 125 a TD and a INT. The Browns are the number one defense in the league right now.
Kevin Dotson is now the fourth highest graded oline man in the NFL and the second highest ranked guard. Our offensive coordinator and line coach need to be fired. Dotson has always had talent but our coaches can’t bring it out. I’m really pissed off reading this bull crap. I knew Dotson was better than he performed here and it’s time for us to get offensive coaches that make our offense look like an offense. How can we judge Pickett with these trash coaches. Dotson going to be an all pro this season and we have a 4th round pick to show for him and a guard who was good on the Eagles and now looks crappie like Dotson did before.
I don’t think anyone is overlooking the injuries to the Browns but correct me if I’m wrong those injuries happened as short as a couple weeks ago, I think Watson is the most recent. The 49ers happened in game to 2 of their starters and can be quite the jolt to overcome and frankly should have if the kicker didn’t miss 2 FG’s. What I’m saying is the Browns have had time to make adjustments without them.
I did a little diving and we originally drafted Dotson as a backup to Zach and David at RG in 2020 then the that year Decastro got injured and we expected him back in 21, so he was moved to LG in place of Wizsnewski and won the job, decastro ended up not playing again we scrambled to find someone late and wound up signing Trai Turner instead of moving Dotson back to his true position. This was possibly the mistake. I also remember Dotson being in Tomlin’s doghouse at some point, forgot the reason and which season.
It's hard to narrow it down to 5 for the Steelers even harder to make a mount Rushmore for the team. Although I do feel like Joe Greene is a unanimous choice for top 5 best defensive and for team mount Rushmore. He is the draft pick the changed the Steelers forever.
