Everyone who watches the Sabres is impressed with the team's young talent. One that does not get the accolades as often may already be emerging as a star. Rasmus Ristoleinen is big d-man and he's shown he can score too. I saw something today that surprised me - it even surprised his HC DB - in 25 games this year he's played 606+ minutes (24 min. 14 sec. TOI/G). Over that span he has managed a grand total of 0 PIM. He plays a hard smart game; every team wishes they had him.

Thanks, Matty. I was going to comment on his first hatty. But - and I am certain Risto feels the same - it would have been much more satisfying with a W. I admit that getting back to being really upset over any L is a good thing. Believe it or not, I believe the Sabres are really missing Pysyk on this road trip. We're going to have maddening losing skeins but the team is coming around and is dangerous against any team on any given night. Next: make that more consistent, and then move to the next level: dominance.
Is not being dominant when a team has reached the level of dominance? I do not like using the iPhone* here, (the screen is too small and I do not always catch my typos or clumsy syntax, and I miss the nuance in other matters).
