Im assuming that the full episode will eventually be put on youtube, most other episodes already are. This hurling/Pegula episode is new so I think they have to wait a certain amount of time before posting it. The Terry Pegula story is good but the Kim Pegula story is great. She was abandoned on a street corner at the age of 4 in her native country, I forget which one. A Canadian couple adopted her sight-unseen and raised, loved and educated her. Its hard to get a true feel for someone but she seems like a good person. Maybe the most influential woman in all of sports and an amazing story.
the goal Eichel just scored to put Buffalo up 3-1 was ridiculous. not highlight reel cream your pants, but more an out-hustle, out-muscle, patient snipey kind of stuff.
That's what I expect from Eich: not so much "wow, that was incredible!", but "that was nice! Howja do that?!" (Speak softly and carry a big stick; Jack is channeling Teddy Roosevelt.) This happens to fit in perfectly with Buffalo's blue collar self-image. He could end up being crowned King of Buffalo by the end of his career.
Oh yeah? Well, before you run about doling out crowns, let's see him stiff a hard working cab driver or sexually assault a drunken bar tart.
Uhhhm, you've got the wrong city. Only players from Buffalo are known for this. It does not apply for people that play for Buffalo. It should be noted that we should not refer to these indiscretions in the affirmative fashion that you chose. There have only been allegations leveled at P. Kane; he has been found guilty a total of zero times - to date - on any matter.
I was being allegorical. Out of line? Probably. Well, ok, yes, I was. It was still meant to be allegorical... and funny.
i have no idea what happened in his house that fateful night so much in the press - but i have no doubt he assaulted a 60+ year old cab driver.
Me either. But in the eyes of the law there was no assault as Kane was never charged in that situation.
Brendan Guhle was sent back to Prince Albert of the WHL. This young man received an abrupt introduction to the NHL courtesy of Mr. Phaneuf. This sent him to the IR for a bit and he has been in Buffalo to start the season. I was actually hoping to see a little bit from him this season - not necessarily even nine games. He certainly appears to be an extremely promising D-man; he's one to watch.
can't that be interpreted as there wasn't enough evidence to charge him and not necessarily that he did or didn't do it?
agreed, matty. in the eyes of the law, plenty of crimes are committed which don't end up with anyone charged with anything. a lack of charges does not equate to a lack of criminal act, there are other factors involved. can we prove it with what we have available? is it worth the expense to taxpayers to pursue it?
Matty, that's why I said "Me either". I think it's obvious that Kane had an unfortunate encounter with a cab driver, and he was responsible for the negativity. What is far less certain is that there was an assault, I personally believe he may have, but he and the cabbie are the only ones in the world than can be certain of what happened. I do not like finding anyone guilty in the court of public opinion. The bar is so low that the verdict often resembles a personal whim. For this reason, I remind others of what the criminal justice system has determined.
And here in TO we have the grandson of a billionaire charged with vehicular homicide. He killed 3 children and their grandfather, let's see the outcome. He was twice the legal limit, hiring the best lawyers money could buy.
He's in jail now waiting for his peliminary hearing on the 19th, the same day as the federal election. People will be distracted and he'll get bail until they delay the trial, the family is pleading with the judge to deny him bail.

The Sabres started last season at 1-4, and they are 1-4 for this season. After that, there are virtually no similarities between the two. Puck possession PP, and PDO all point to a much better season once this roster of talent gets accustomed to playing with each other. Unfortunately that will likely take four or five months. Wait 'til next year, though!
