People don't like to talk about a divorce until it's over, of coarse that doesn't include when they need to sleep on your couch. You didn't have beach sleeping on your couch?

Offer's always there. 'Course, it's a brown and orange couch so he'd probably get hives or something...

Always good when we can put aside our differences and agree with the one universal truth of the NFL: that the New England Patriots are cheaters dating back to 2000 and every Super Bowl win ought to be vacated (will at least have an asterisk) during that time, given the relentless cheating, rule-bending, and shenanigans that follows them.

Dave Gettleman got us. No if's, and's or but's about it....

OBJ is half of what we thought we were getting....Shame on the Browns medical staff for clearing the physical on that shit trade.

I trust Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, and Landry to beat the Cardinals....

Hopefully we can trade whatever the hell is left of Beckham for something that is actually of value to a football team.....

As much as I love all the pre-game"one handers", what has Odell actually brought to the Browns? jack squat.

Hopefully OBJ can get himself right physically this off-season, and in 2020 we'll have the superstar we were expecting. My concern isn't that he wants to leave. I just don't buy in to all that. My concern is that OBJ won't be able to get back to that elite level that he was playing at in New York. Even though he's still a young man, I think it's a valid concern when we are talking about a core injury like he has.

    SUPER BOWL!!! SUPER BROWNS!!!

Honestly, I think I saw somewhere that they had like a 1.5% chance of making it, but the only game (besides CLE/BAL) that seems unlikely to go their way would be NYJ/PIT.

The dilemma is that the Texans clinch their division with a win over the Bucs which eliminates the need to beat the Titans.

Ironic that a team resting its starters during an AFC South contest and the QB's inability to beat a worst division rival keeps them out of the playoffs for the second straight time (Derek Anderson vs. Cincinnati; Indianapolis resting starters against Tennessee circa 2007).

The one that continues to confound me as a fan is Schobert. For starters, I don't see a world in which we are trading/cutting Kirksey and not re-signing Schobert. From a cold business standpoint, it's easier to let Schobert walk in free agency and hope he counts towards a compensatory pick in the future than trying to trade and get value out of Kirksey who's (1) regressed, and (2) not been healthy the last two seasons.

Current inside linebacker market is a minimum of $10 million a year for a Top 10 player. Schobert is *easily* a Top 10 linebacker. Average salary of the top ten guys is $13.1 million with Bobby Wagner at the top of the market (rightfully so) at $18 million/year.

No, the dilemma is that the Browns couldn't beat the Ravens even if the Ravens just chose not to show up for the game.

The numbing apathy of yet another lost season is setting in.

Aside from losing games there are so many troubling things about the "how it happened", that haunt me. The organizational disfunction is mind boggling.

Personnel moves that leave me wondering if anyone talks with one another. Starting with the clear lack of priority, or misjudgement on the O line from Dorsey. That coupled with the Monken hire which seemed to indicate a desire to throw deep, makes no sense IMO.

Then letting Avery go, a guy who looked to be on his way to becoming a starter, last year. Then there are the mystery moves made regarding guys who were apparently healthy, yet not played or even suited up: Randall, Higgins, Njoku. Makes me think decisions are being made on something other than "football" reasons, and wondering how they are seen by the players, who are then asked to make up for those guys.

Self inflicted wounds by mgt, the coaching staff, and the players all season long. Does anyone else feel like I do: that everyone should STFU about internal issues, and focus on what they are responsible for?

All of that doesn't even touch on the seeming lack of cohesive play calling, that at least contributed to a random feeling offense. Aside from the O line, I don't believe our personnel is the issue. The inability to put it together is undoubtedly the issue. That is IMO not on the players at all.

    thoughts?

Oh yeah, and not having signed Schobert is criminal.

Looking ahead, it feels like Freddie may stay, and God knows there's plenty of reasons not to, what might we expect?

Continuity? Does anyone want to repeat this season? Can anyone point to a reason Freddie has earned another year? Lack of focus on the field, and at the microphone is ridiculous. They are not a unit, even after the glaring mis steps earlier, we still have a QB who's pointing fingers, by supporting Kareem Hunt's comments. STFU.

When does the message get sent that those comments are fine in the building, face to face, but are incredibly destructive, and ineffective at the podium. I really believe in Baker as our QB, but he's got to become a better team mate, and recognize that statements don't cure internal problems, that they disintegrate team unity.

I want him to remain a firebrand, but I want focus on themselves first and always when speaking publicly about what needs to be done. I refer to Nick Chubb, who never, ever points at anyone else, who defers praise, pointing out how it's the team's efforts that allows him to succeed. Boring, but you never feel he is anything but a team guy 100%.

All that said. Beat the Ravens and I'm in again.

Perhaps foolishly, winning cures a million ills.
