I didn't say it did. I said Gideon was much closer to the mark in his suspensions prediction. Because he was. Perhaps if you were paying more attention to the content than the source you would have seen this.
He was brutal last night. For as much as the Browns outplayed the Steelers....if Pitt had a decent QB under center they probably win.
I’m not sure what grounds they would have unless they pursue the avenue that Garrett, through the entirety of the exchange, was looking to inflict life threatening bodily harm, which I believe can be a case for recompense if you can show the potential for future injury or lasting mental trauma. There were reports of the Cleveland PD being in and exiting the locker room post game so it will be interesting to see what prompted that. And there has been a case of one player successfully suing another for an on field incident so this wouldn’t be breaking new ground.
It actually says indefinitely for Garrett. I'm glad Ogunjobi got a game suspension. He had the cheapest of all the cheap shots taken last night.
I take it you've been watching Max Kellerman today. There is precedence for suspension after swinging a helmet. Can't remember the player but he swung a helmet at another player in the preseason (and missed) and he received a 3-game suspension. Key word here is precedence.
Steelers organization should appeal the ruling. No suspension for Rudolph? That's a ridiculously steep punishment for the team.
Spicy take about a guy who just lost 21-7, got domed for being a punk, and who's line for the game was an impressive:
I realize this is ton in cheek but it provokes a question anyway. Had the action stopped prior to the helmet swing --- Rudolph pulls helmet, Garrett pulls off helmet, players pull them apart and nothing else happens --- how many games should they have suspended: Garrett: Rudolph:
Which corner of your ass did you pull that from ??? While it has been illegal to remove your or an opponent's helmet for quite some time, I can't find any link from the rule book to automatic suspensions for doing so. The only automatic suspensions all deal with repeated violations of substance abuse and/or personnal conduct policies.
