Congrats to the Browns and all of their fans. Baker looked sharp jumping into the middle of this game. It will be interesting to see what he can do with a week's worth of practice (especially an extended week).
I was really impressed with Mayfield but when the crowd went electric as #6 first trotted on the field, that was truly amazing. The Browns (and football) fans experiencing that moment is one of the most important and beautiful things about the game. And it is still the biggest reason we watch, in spite of all the bullshit the league (and players) presents time and again. Congrats Browns fans!
HaHa, I was up to around 2:00 am and woke up at 5:30 am... I left my laptop at work yesterday because my son had his 8th grade football game and I was getting frustrated typing on my damn phone after a few "pops". What a freaking night!!!! What a feeling the next day!!! Cleveland Sports Radio is not doom and gloom, the callers are not doom and gloom. I've only heard one caller say, "yeah but", This is a new era. I think the whole state can feel it!!
The shit of it is...after game 3 Tyrod Taylor is 1-1-1 Baker Mayfield is 0-0 Is there any way to change the rules so Mayfield gets his first official win, lol?
Another observation, after that last night, I don't think there is ANY controversy as to who should start. However, are we sure that we want Tyrod to backup Baker instead of Drew Stanton? If we are more comfortable with Stanton after watching Tyrod, is there ANY team out there desperate enough to trade for him? He's been a starting QB and despite what he did here, he is probably better than some of the starters in this league. Should we explore that avenue?
All I know is the Steelers and Saints need to send Hue Jackson thank you cards.....This team absolutely should be 3-0.
