Damn. The ole Mobius strip. Nice! I'll be honest, I had to look that one up.. not sure how to make that little mark over my o though...lol! Hell yes. This is gonna be a treat to watch. We haven't had a dominant defense around here in generations...Assuming health, I also think Myles is gonna rewrite the Browns record books in fairly short order. This franchise, even when I was young in the 70's and 80's, has always lacked the dominating pass rush. I can't ever remember a Browns defensive line that rushed the passer any more than this 2018 Browns front. Of course, I don't think the Browns ever invested in the D-line like this one has. So it stands to reason....
Larry Ogunjobi and Myles Garrett are special. Genard Avery already has the makings of a very good pass rusher. Emmanuel Ogbah (when healthy) is no slouch. They have a ton of options to put pressure on opposing QBs and also mix it up to create mismatches for nearly anyone along that line.
Temper the enthusiasm. Your team sits at .500. The Raiders will kick dirt in your brown iiis. Chucky is old but may get a nap and stay up for the 4th quarter.
That is freaking HILARIOUS!!!!!!! Spoiler: If your a Raider fan....Don't look You think the Raiders are going to score 17 points on the Browns!!
I figure they get a cheap touchdown in the waning minutes of the fourth. Against the Browns' reserves.
Anyone else following Gordon's career? Belichek is an uncompromising coach, and I have to wonder if Gordon will ever make it to the field. Per usual, no hint of anything from Patriot land, and I have to wonder if he's picking up the O, or starting to fall into the Abyss again. It's not just a curiosity thing. I also have him stashed on my fantasy roster, and "no news isn't good news" IMO. I think it is a fair bet to say he doesn't finish the season, based on prior history. For his sake, I hope I am wrong. I don't think Josh is a bad guy, but his demons run deep.
Emmanuel Ogbah says he's back this week for the Browns Updated 2:14 PM; Posted 2:11 PM Emmanuel Ogbah says that he's back for the Browns this Sunday. (Joshua Gunter, cleveland.com) BEREA, Ohio -- The Browns defense has been a bright spot all season long and they're about to add back in a key piece. Defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah said on Wednesday that he's back this week. Ogbah missed the last two games with an ankle injury he suffered against Pittsburgh. Ogbah was on the practice field on Wednesday. The Browns defense was without two other players at practice -- safety Damarious Randall worked on the side and has been wearing a walking boot on his right foot since at least Thursday night to protect his heel injury. Linebacker James Burgess was not at practice, either. He injured his knee against the Jets, an injury that looked bad, but eventually returned to the game. Chris Smith, a free agent signing this offseason, has played well in Ogbah's absence, especially as a pass-rusher. "I believe in those guys," Ogbah said, "next man up philosophy, that's what this defense is about and they stepped up and made big plays when they needed to, so I'm proud about that." Still, he's had to sit and watch while teammates Myles Garrett and Larry Ogunjobi have combined for seven sacks. Garrett is tied for the league lead with four sacks and Ogunjobi is tied for sixth with three. "I told them I'm coming for them," Ogbah said. "I'm coming for them." Derek Carr better have his head on a swivel this week....
In a show of respect, nfl.com says to sit Derek Carr against you guys this week. You guys are moving up in the power rankings too. I think it was #20 , which is pretty good for a team coming from where you guys did.
I saw #19 on NFL Channel's Power Rankings...As long as they play inspired confident football, like we've seen from the defense all year, and the offense under Mayfield in 2nd half vs Jets, I believe they will continue to rise in those rankings. The future is now. After watching this team play the first three games, I'm convinced they have arrived into the world of relevancy....We'll see how it all shakes out but there's no denying the excitement level has ratcheted up big time in Cleveland. I feel like we gave away a couple opportunities at victory in the first two weeks by playing it safe with Tyrod. Though I understand why they felt the need, I still think it was a mistake. Can't change it though. So what that means is, the Browns can't afford to lose to (0-3) Raiders. Everyone wants to see if the Browns are for real, and everyone will be watching. I expect to see these guys throw down a "statement" win in Oakland. Take out some frustrations, and silence the doubters. Browns 38, Raiders 13
