he's got good size and wheels and he is extremely streaky in his production. i think they were seeing a Kreider type. i think thats best case scenario. sure he could be a chip but if the Bruins are buyers theres a real problem.
Noticed big streaks of that last year too. It's playing the possession numbers like it was 2009. With everybody focued on shots, some staffs moved away from general shots and more towards proprietary stuff focused on certain types of shots for and against. I think it was a factor in the Beleskey acquistion. MOAR SHOTS!! I'm still trying to make sense of the Backes acquisition. They just suck. Best to go backwards hard for a couple years I guess.
because I love the man and hate seeing him wasted..........LET BERGY FLY!!!!!!!!!! trade him to a good team.
Bruce Cassidy 1st game knee jerk reaction kind of crazytown hockey last night between the Sharks and Bruins. much more wide open than customary here. the Bruins D were much more aggressive in the offensive and neutral zones. m u c h more aggressive. this should help guys like Colin Miller and Krug, both of which had strong games. this will obviously lead to more odd man rushes and quality opportunity coming back. Chara could get real ugly here. Different lines this time around and a different PP look. opposition will adjust soon so I dont want to make a big deal of it after one game, but it looked good. Im wondering what this coaching change will do for Ryan Spooner specifically.
https://www.hockeyfeed.com/nhl-news/massive-trade-rumor-involving-bruins-zdeno-chara?ref=justin Chara could be dealt...?
Yeah, they might be around for a while. Who knows, Cassidy might be the real deal...but it's still mostly CLODE's team. Oh wait, Clode's team is full of gritty grindy goodness now.
this really makes me smile. im more than skeptical of this transition for them. when does Price and Pacioretty's money come up? theyre gonna be in trouble then. im wondering how much of those moves were Bergevin and how much were Julien.
Brad Marchand's 70 pts is the most by a Bruin since '08/09 and they still have 15 games left. kinds ridiculous that no one has gotten 70 points in 8 years but thats another story.
and how many were the Molson's? The common whine out of MTL has been that the team was too soft. Things were right in Lennie's wheelhouse. Does anything get better than Desharnais' spot replaced with a grinder?
Good stuff. That's what I call bum slayin'. Nice work by Lennie on that one. I think schedule trends are important before asserting a goalie or team is doing well (backup goalie debates usually). Unfortunately, there are too many exceptions to the rule, but in the aggregate, it's better to pay attention to strong vs week matchups, concentration of schedule, and home vs away. One of the things that I get confused by is concentration of schedule. I need to start looking at the last two years a little closer to see if there's a trend and how strong it is. In the meantime, I hope Sully hangs in there.
Good question. My answer would be "yes" because Panarin is awsum. That said, he better not get any more points, he's in 10th for fwds in points and that means he gets schedule B bonus money.
