Senyshyn w/ 4 grapes last night. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/juniors/ohl-roundup-senyshyn-nets-4-in-greyhounds-rout/
thats a great quote. Id be excited as a player if my coach publicly said that about our team. the us vs the world mentality can be a strong motivating factor. no one uses it as well as Bill Belichick. i feel like thats the polite way of saying, "fuck them. we're the hammer, they're the nail. fuck them."
last night Frank Vatrano (Bos- NHL), Austin Czarnik (Pro-AHL) and Zach Senyshyn (SSM-OHL) all had hat tricks. I wrote a little something here on Vatrano when the bruins signed him last Spring. Czarnik is a rookie pro that is most notably seen as a solid 2-way F. Zach Senyshyn had a 4 goal game a couple weeks ago, he was the Bruins 3rd 1st round pick last summer and the player that Sweeney was lambasted for taking because he was seen as a reach.
just read that Cload (in his ugly Habs years) was the one that coined the phrase "the 700lb line" to describe Knuble-Thornton-Muzz all those years ago. great name for a line. got me thinking about the Cload, he really doesn't get his due and he has been unfairly treated here. the critics have had too much of a say it seems. maybe its that mongloid Sully. Cload dodged a bullet last year when it was clear as day that the team was struggling mightily and so many players were having their worst season in unison. CJ also dodged a bullet after the 2010 loss to the comeback Flyers. the guy is 18 wins away from unseating Art Ross as the franchise's all time leader. wasn't necessarily easy either, he inherited a shit team and turned it around immediately. his time will come here, hopefully not too soon.
Good news, Matty... Boston Bruins center David Krejci practiced Monday for the first time since sustaining an upper-body injury Dec. 27 against the Ottawa Senators. Krejci will travel with the Bruins, who face the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre on Tuesday. He said practice Monday went well but he isn't 100 percent yet. "It was kind of lonely here by myself, but it was good to get out there with the guys and get a real practice," Krejci told the Bruins website. "I'd like to come back as soon as possible, but this kind of injury -- at this point, where I'm at now, it's kind of day-to-day, so we'll see how I feel [on Tuesday]. Hopefully better and see how it feels [Tuesday] in warmup." Krejci, wearing a green jersey, skated on an extra line with David Pastrnak, who has been out with an upper-body injury, and Tyler Randell. Pastrnak will also make the trip. "It's nice to see him out there," coach Claude Julien said. "You know, both Davids are back in there, so it was nice to see those guys." Krejci has 11 goals and 33 points in 35 games this season. The 29-year-old had goals in consecutive games before coming out of the lineup.
You eeked one out. Red Wings and Bruins are in one hell of a fight for 3rd in the Atlantic. How much snow did you get there?
i only got about 4 inches. my dad lives down on the Cape and got something like 15. crazy how this storm went. *edit- the Cape is an hour away lots of hockey left Will but I think the Wings and Broonz will stay close right up until game 82.
That was just good old-fashioned funny. Thanks. Let that cub miss a few meals and I don't think he'd hesitate knowing how to handle bird-brain.
?Jonas Gustavsson was removed from Tuesday?s game for precautionary reasons due to an elevated heart rate. He was taken to Mass General Hospital and remained there overnight for testing. All preliminary tests came back negative and he was discharged Wednesday afternoon. Jonas is expected to rejoin the team after the NHL All-Star Break pending clearance from the Bruins medical staff.?
