It doesn't seem good at all. I haven't read much on PCL's but I just can't see how there wouldn't be a significant effect on play.

Are there other examples of players having success with a torn PCL?

    Shero? hahahahahaha.
I meant that in all caps btw.

    God I hope not.

Krug, Hamilton, Marchand, Smith, Patrice, Krejci,....seems like a team ready to hit stuff over and over again. Nobody handles an abrasive game and sideshow stuff like Rask either.

I think Claude will have to go, this roster is built for him and Shero hasn't been around that type of roster before.

McLellan would be a great fit imo, he would probably like a Bergeron-Chara leadership group after the group he was just with. That and he can adjust to a roster as well as anybody imo.

    Dallas Eakins to the Broonz!!!!

I like how you put it.

It's much easier to do worse than better. Especially just one year from a Pres trophy.

Shero was offered the Bruins job before PC, thats why i think that rumor has some legs.

that list doesn't exactly inspire Bylsmaism.

i would welcome McLellan here. this team can be molded a bit, some versatile players. also some not so versatile players and these are the guys that Id think are most likely to get the door.
    I like Tippett too.

    what??..that laid back Finnish demeanor?

i can see it now, the 2015/16 slogan: salads, not steaks. and don't make me stare at you.

I hadn't thought about him in Boston.
I think he's a very good fit for what they've been doing under Clode.

One thing about NHL coaches that drives me nuts, especially the established ones is that they would much rather win 1-0 than 3-2 and they coach to win 1-0. McLellan is the only one out there right now that has some success in the league and isn't terrified of winning a multi score game.

Bovada odds on the next Bruins GM

    Ray Shero 2/1
    Don Sweeney 2/1
    Jeff Gorton 3/1
    Tom Fitzgerald 5/1
    Julien Brisebois 8/1
    Mike Futa 8/1
    Paul Fenton 17/2

i don't see Pierre on this list.

  10. i gave up trying to find out. searches for people with a permanently torn PCL were returning thousands of hits about ACL surgery *WALL*

  11. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

    Ahhh, thanks for the effort.
I thought I was using search engines wrong.

  12. in this case, i think there's no right way to use them.
