  1. Only if SCPB & Miamitom concur with that analysis *DRINK*

id think that at this point they need to keep the kid up just to keep the train rolling. also gives PC more leverage if he wants to acquire a top 6 RW, which he still should. Bruins aren't dealing from as weak a position.
Im assuming this kid won't be healthy by the end of the year,

I hadn't considered acquisition leverage. I am a believer that even if it doesn't alter the price, it changes the timeline for a decision. This would be the tipping point in terms of keeping him from my perspective. As long as Pastrnak is going to be used almost exclusively in a scoring role, I think the damage to his development is negligible.

Malcolm Subban called up and Svedberg sent down to PRO on a conditioning loan.
is this something innocent just to get Svedberg some work or is this for other teams to get a look at Subban at the NHL level??.. or maybe to see Svedberg get back to back starts in the AHL even?

Hasn't Subban been playing really well in Providence? I only check on them every once in a while, but every time it seems like he had a strong game. I think the hockey team from Boston should hold onto him unless they get a ridiculous trade offer.

Subban has been splitting in Providence w/ Jeremy Smith. From all accounts he has been progressing pretty well, still a work in progress. So athletic I think he's still adapting to professional coaching and the game. I believe that most FO types see his ceiling as extremely high but reaching it will take major work and patience. Still another couple of AHL years away from the NHL.

i would love to cash in on the Subban chip if the right deal were to come along - top 4 D or top 6 W perhaps. Even if Subban were to be traded the net should be covered behind Rask. UND goalie Zane Mcintyre is property of the Bruins and has come along very well. He's an older NCAA kid having been drafted in 2010, Im assuming that the Bruins need to sign him by June or he'll become a UFA.
Svedberg's status seems to be fluid. Everything hinges on Subban.

    Gothberg/Mcintyre-

*edit: Mcintyre is only a Jr at UND, still another year of eligibility if he wants it. this trade deadline should determine how hard the Bruins will push him to turn pro this summer.

Tuukka's 2014/15 pads need to be burned. he hasn't been great, hasn't been awful. he should be great though, better than most isn't good enough w/ him.

watch out Paille, that red line can be slippery.

It looks like Dan'l would fit right in again in Buffalo. He's one of Darcy's less impressive first round pick.

Just heard, Malcolm Subban to start for Bruins.

Subban: "easy to be patient, keep working, wait for your opportunity & I'm getting mine tonight, so I'm going to make the best of it"

Pretty excited for this start. Ive seen him in Providence and on the few preseason games that were on the air and he's a lot of fun to watch. suuuuper aggressive, i think he's working on reeling that in though.
i remember a preseason game against Detroit where he got absolutely torched. i think Subban was 18 and Datsyuk had something like 25 goals.

Brian Ferlin (6'2, 200) getting his first NHL game tonight too. playing on the 4th line, played at Cornell last season.

Chiarelli announces that Miller sustained a right shoulder dislocation in the game vs. Calgary & will undergo season-ending surgery.

  18. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

Miller injured that shoulder early in the season and has been dealing w/ it all year. the team doctors told him that he couldn't fight because of the shoulder issue, it's probably a good idea to take care of it.
Miller was one of the guys that I thought would be able to fill in Boychuk's role. I was wrong and injuries have destroyed this blue line??..?that, and really bad defensive play. would love for McQuaid to play an entire season but history should teach me otherwise. this defense is a real problem. yes the F core needs a top 6 RW but this D needs help even more when factoring in the system that they play.
Yandle or OEL would be nice. lots of assets to deal with, both already at an NHL level and in the cupboard. I would love to take a stab at Adam Larsson and think he could be had for relatively cheap.

Good points. It seems as if they have been snake bit on the D side especially since the beginning of the season and they started out rough with Kredji and Bergeron problems up front too.

Even when Chara came back he just couldnt produce, not right away anyway and there really was no steady help around the net in the few games ive seen.

It's been strange... i feel for ya.

I think the Bruins are one of the teams that better be buyers right now because i dont think their so far out not to take and make a serious go at the playoffs. 1 or 2 moves and the flow could be back. I just think they of all the teams in the playoff battle in the East should definitely pull the trigger on someone... and soon.
