Krejci and Lucic basically came up together and have played together since. we know Cload does not mix lines up regardless of futility. I would love to see a skilled winger on Krejci's line. I agree that he would need some muscle on the other side but I think Krejci would flourish w/ a guy like Eriksson. Never really seen it based on the Bruins roster makeup. Not a quick strike transition type (Kessel) but more a skilled puck possession winger that can shoot. I think Cload would get more out of both Krejci and Eriksson if he paired them up. You could still stick that fatload #17 on the left side w/ them, Krejci has been pining for it since the preseason. Hard to quantify a player's value in to numbers but when watching Lucic you see a guy that is so reliant on everyone else on the ice but he can open up ice at the same time through his physical play. When watching Krejci I see a guy that knows where everyone is on the ice at all times and pushes the play at his own pace.
Me too, I'm sick of going back and forth on Krecji. I have not been a fan of sticking eriksson with another swede who is still adjusting to N. America. Wasting talent trying to get 4 full lines. I'm still surprised he hasn't tried that one this year or last. Eriksson can pivot and play either wing too. His strength in Dallas was that he could give the same lines different looks without giving up the farm defensively. I'm not sure if he's declined or if it's just Clode. I am a big Krecji fan, but I think non-shooting centers are always restricted in value without quality help save a few. He can play in all zones too so I take him before Spezza (pre back boo boos). Since Lucic is his big fat woobie, I'm not convinced of anything despite my pro-Krecji bias. i thought it was a no-brainer to keep him before Seguin for example. woobie:
Is there any doubt about Lucic after that empty netter? Tonight really put out most of the fires I fear. So much for the circus, at least for a couple weeks anyway.
I meant I'm sick of changing my mind about whether or not he's a real 1c. I think substantial ice time with a non-big skilled wing would end my flip flopping on Krecji. I'm not sick of talking about him. What's the word on Eriksson's wrist?
i would like to 'finalize' a Krejci opinion myself. I've always thought that he was the most skilled player on the team since Savard left. how skilled is the question. I don't know much on Eriksson's wrist.
Chara really is a good story. Found it very interesting that the first time he ever played for his country he had already made the NHL. That can't be true for most of these guys. So many international youth and WJC tourneys to play for your country. Chara was on his local 'B' team even at 16.
Back to Krejci for a minute, Ive noticed him really step his game up on the biggest stages- playoffs and Olympics. At the Olympics he would often be the best player for the Czechs if not the best player on the ice entirely. In the playoffs he obviously kicks it up a notch. I just don't think that he is capable of doing that over 80 games w/ his body type and what Cload asks him to do. Krejci=underrated. Everyone seems to be blowing Bergy after realizing that he is an exceptional all around player, Krejci may be different but possibly just as effective, if not more. I wonder if you took Krejci and put him out there w/ 2 1st line wingers in an offensive system just how many points he'd get. Id take the over on 80.
That was amuzing about Bergeron, I thought injuries and inconsistency offensively were becoming worrisome. So why doesn't Clode ever let one of them pivot in offensive situations? I've been wondering for 5 years now why he doesn't overload a line like some coaches do when they have a good matchup, it's not like they haven't been showering together for a long time. I think Pat is a better finisher but Krecji is much better playmaker. Clode needs to let his Krecji bird spread his wing and fly without dead weight at the wing.
Go to 12:30 and listen to PC when he's answering a question. I noticed a couple stutters and slight mumble around his thoughts that included mentioning "boston hockey fans are knowledgeable". It was his toughtest answer to get out the whole interview...I wonder which paper or radio show was going through his mind when he started to answer the question.
Cload is ridiculous w/ his lines. they're set in stone and thats that. They've been showering and fluffing for years. real close those two. although your Lucic/Krejci point from earlier may have crept in to the shower dynamic as well. he sure does. PC not a good liar evidently. I like how he handles the local media, pretty vanilla, pretty condescending. He should be to Blennie.
That original was in the NotdanyHeatley twitter account which I recommend looking at. Inspiring message. A true gem and Pierre's creepiest move of the 15' season. I put the link to the notheatleytwitter in the ditch, here it is again. I would like to recommend looking at it AGAIN: https://twitter.com/danyallstar15 Check Jan2, Jan 5, Jan 10, and pretty much the whole thing. This was in there too:
that is a great account. tons of good stuff. i want one of those 50in'07 shirts. Pete Blackburn is awesome at the internet. https://vine.co/v/ODdUuWYMDn1
I've seen 50 in 07' before but I didn't know there was a movement dedicated to preserving its glory. 184K followers. I love that video of the guy leaving the ice.
Now that we all agree that Pastrnak is the most awsum player evva, does PC let him burn a year off of his ELC and should he? He has 8 games in the books now.
lol, really? she looks better with a coat on. she's never impressed me much in the studio. ok, back to the drawing board. memo to NBC: fire pierre and go get Lindsay Soto. JUST DO IT.
