Sully is in love w/ David Pastrnak ('14 1st rnd). In love doesn't even cover it. So the kid tore up development camp. He's evidently a media darling. He showed up w/ only skates and lost his passport. His idol is Krejci and the Sullys are head over heels. I think its an example of finding a kid and using him as an empty vessel to fill up w/ Sully hopes and dreams. Don't get me wrong, I hope this kid is the real deal but Im not excited about rushing a potential quality player's development based on how adorable he is in front of a camera and how tight the cap situation is. There are enough cheap ELC Providence kids to bring up instead.

I'm fortunate to have actually been at a game he pitched at the old Tigers Stadium. He was fun and had fun.
This is a case where I feel sorry for anyone too young to have seen a player. It's not that the Bird was such a special talent - although he was very good for at least one season. He was a unique individual; a personality that transcended sports.
