Reilly Smith is struggling, Matt Bartkowski is struggling, Torey Krug still can't play defense and even when he can figure out positioning he will still be somewhat of a liability. Dougie Hamilton is inconsistent but Im ok w/ taking my lumps w/ him.....terrible turnover on the Leafs 3rd goals- Kessel to JVR. Have I mentioned that Johnny Boychuk isn't good? easy to point out the obvious- Bartkowski- what???? both D facing the wrong way.

even without the SBs he's been one of the greatest ever. he also has 3 SBs. plus that 2007 team is the best football team Ive ever seen. DOMINATE. Should've won that game, hats off to the Giants they played real well and were a tough matchup. the defense has really let this team down the most since then but you're right, no SBs in a decade. he's still not done and Im telling him you said that. because he knows the chronic when he sees it.

Fernandez or Ramirez? that one doesn't get brought up often. big swing and miss from Chiarelli there. Traded a prospect -Petr Kalus and a pick and took on Fernandez's heavy contract. At the time TT was barely hanging on to an NHL roster spot so I remember thinking it was a good deal. Manny's health was garbage though. Two unsuccessful seasons later he retired. I remember watching Broonz camp in 08 and Fernandez and TT were getting lit up like Christmas trees while a puppy Tuukka was awesome. Some of the players were quoted saying that they hoped Joanie would make the team but Manny's contract made that impossible. Probably good for Joanie to get the AHL time anyway.
