Hamilton out w/ a concussion. Spooner and Bergeron absent from morning skate, Im assuming thats maintenance related. Not sure what they're gonna do w/ Spooner once Kelly comes back....good problem to have. Kid has been so good that they can't send him down. He's the fastest player on the team and has real good vision. I worry that he'll break down but they might as well ride him until he does. that 3rd line of Soderberg and Eriksson on Spooner's wings is a good one.
How many players had their development slowed down by those god-awful uniforms. Probably messed with the scouts and evaluators too. How could you rate anything when if you had to look at those? I'm am more forgiving of the Chara trade.
This one is for Dan, I have seen nothing about Sideshow Steve and contract extension talks. Are they going to keep him or move him and why?
Name the only team to be up 3 games to none, and 3 goals to none in game seven of the same series, and BELOW the series. hint...their number one fan actually hates what the team name does.......(and I am considered bi-polar by them..go figure )
Bruins extend Kevan Miller for 2 more seasons at $800k per. This kid came from nowhere (UVM i guess??) and has been very solid. Great deal for the team and congrats to him for making it and getting an NHL contract. maybe they can give him a real number now.
My favorite number is 00. Only Biron and Davidson have ever worn it. Maybe he can be the guy. Anybody that mauls Brown makes me smile even if I end up hating the guy later.
Im a firm believer in being the guy that initiates contact every time but that seemed a little early to me. Surprised he wasn't called for it being a rookie against a veteran team capt.
That gif is right in the middle of my gripes about interference related calls that they let go. When I talk about needless contact that's screwing up the good plays, that's part of it. It's down the list of my whining priorities right now so I'll focus on him taking out Brown because that brings pleasant warmth on a frosty day.
Yeah, Matty, that was one of my first thoughts. You have to like Miller's moxie; it's good to see a player introduce hmself to the league with a bang.
i can buy that. neither player needs to have played the puck here before making contact because they would be battling for position but I think Miller was 1/2 to a full step early. otherwise Brown would've been ready Id think..still surprised that he went down so easily.
good way to put it Dan. Miller is an older rookie (26 i think) that is playing like he has nothing to lose and doesn't give a crap about opposition or the big lights. so far i really like him. should make for some interesting moves down the line in respect to 3rd pairing D.
