why did you stop watching it ? the only bad season it had was when it was strictly at the shore of AC and the wars over of roads and booze transportation and Gyp Rosetti. He was annoying as hell. Go figure the actor who portrayed him-Bobby Cannavale, won an Emmy that year !
Whatever deal we had with the cable company that included HBO ran out right after the second season ended lol. I've never understood the fascination with Bobby Cannavale. If anybody on that show should've won an Emmy, it should've been Jack Huston.
he was so annoying in the role. hated him, his lines, and every scene he was in. his death was one of the happiest TV moments in my life.
While I think it's good, I had higher hopes for Westworld. Thought-provoking, but sometimes seems to just wallow in the joy of how deep and complex it is.
I'm convinced Monty Python is STILL ahead of it's time. And LOVED Benny Hill, Blackadder (Blackadder II especially), and the Young Ones. The Simpsons is brilliant. All in the Family probably gets my nod as the greatest sitcom. Serious stuff: Narcos is a good serious show. The Wire. The first season of True Detective (Harrelson and McConaughey) was excellent. The second season was garbage and 100% unrelated to season 1. Breaking Bad was good and I watch Aaron Paul's (also in Bojack) new show The Path. Better Call Saul. I really should watch the final season of Mad Men to finish that one off.[/QUOTE] Love Breaking Bad. Was a big Sons of Anarchy fan. I missed out on a lot of cable classics, though - The Wire, The Sopranos... Overall I'm not really a big tv guy. There was an FX show called Lights Out with Holt McCallany that I liked - got good reviews, but poor ratings and never made it season 2. The Knick, with Clive Owen, was very well done but is finished after 2 seasons. Currently I only really follow Westworld, Fargo, and Taboo.
wanted to see it. lost my HBO and didn't. heard mixed things about it. is the show over or is it coming back for a new season ? if it's over, it didn't last long.
Is it me, or is it almost TOO much work to keep up with all the machinations (no pun intended) going on? I mean, I really enjoy being challenged, but...damn.

Fargo is great too. I didn't like how True Detective Season 1 ended. The planets and stars and McConaughey in the hospital acting all weird and stuff. i didn't get it. I didn't mind season 2 at all until the last episode. I thought Vince Vaughn was very good as a villain. The finale just sucked and punched me in the gut on how it ended.
axe-can always get the shows on demand or dvds. they are affordable now as the shows are older and not new releases.
Yeah it's definitely too much. It's a good show...great premise....and mostly really good acting. It doesn't have to be as deep as they they've made it though.

Maybe they knew it wasn't going to be renewed, so they hurried the title fight to the final episode. Take your time, develop the story and the characters.
Lights Out had a lot of potential. I remember being very impressed by the middle daughter's performance. I loved the first two seasons of Narcos. I haven't been able to really get into the third season. The Cali guys just weren't grand theater like Escobar was.
Put this in the category of “awesome shows that were canceled without a satisfactory resolution to the story” instead.
If @Underdog hadn't posted a couple weeks back, I would have never seen this thread.. Reading through it all, I can't believe no one ever mentioned Game of Thrones. One of the best series ever produced.
Ended poorly and has left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. Which is unfortunate because it was a great series. Looking forward to House of the Dragon.
I wouldn't call them "best shows ever", but we're currently really enjoying Only Murders in the Building. Also looking forward to the last installment of His Dark Materials.
