We didn't deserve to win anyway. That hail mary was nothing but a tease. Trubs was awful for most the game. D was awful for the entire game.
Nagy was just awful too. Could have thrown a hail mary at the end of the first half. Could have onside kicked to prevent the Patriots from running out the clock effectively.
Blame Trubisky all you want If Kyle Fuller catches an Aaron Rodgers pass to his chest....we win week 1. Last week and this week the defense gave the worst possible effort and completely shit the bed. 14 points surrendered on special teams. This is a mediocre team that is knocking on the door of being good. I severely....very severely am questioning this coaching staff. Fangio especially. I expect mistakes from a rookie HC. What is Fangio’s excuse? This defense is not without talent...there’s talent at every level. 3-3....very easily could be 4-2, 5-1, or even 6-0.
Could have also tried for the FG rather than whatever that checkdown bullshit was at the end of the half too. The Bears were beaten in every phase, don't care that the score says it was that close. That was mostly due to the Pats fucking up (the special teams fumble we didn't even cause, he hit his own man). That's another game the Bears win the turnover battle, and lose. You have to be some kind of special for that to happen.
Any improvement from the D since the days of Tucker should be credited to Pace. Pace signed Hicks, Prince, Trevathan, traded for Mack. Fangio's D let us down badly last year in games we needed to win. The D is the weakest link on the team and is the main reason we're 3-3.
I completely agree dude, my order of blame, for the second game in a row starts with the defense. This unit is NOT playing at an elite level anymore. 1. Defense 2. Coaching 3. Special Teams 4. Offense The refs didn't hurt us in this one, if anything we got quite a few breaks this time (other than never calling holding, but that was going both ways).
Yeah, we were badly outplayed in all 3 phases. Lucky to even have a shot at the end. Pats gifted us with penalties and a special teams fumble that kept it close.
