I knew Nagy sucked. But this is a new low. How do you put your first round pick through this? Your burring him before he even gets a chance. He should have pulled him 2 series ago. WTF.
We have 1 net passing yard today. One week after 83 passing yards. But Nagy told us that his offense takes 4 years to crystallize, so lots of hope on the horizon boys!
Myles Garrett is the best pass rusher in the game. And your gameplan today was to try to block him on an island with a 39 year old LT and Ifedi. That was your gameplan. Barely chipped at him. Never screened. Never went max protect. Barely attempted to move the pocket. Did literally nothing to try to negate the pass rush. Just bent over and took it up the ass.
If they had to lose to the Browns, and they were always losing to the Browns today, there's some things that have silver linings. Pace's ability to build an effective O-Line has been shat on from great height. Nagy's ability to create and execute an effective game plan has been utterly shredded. Theres a lot of embarrassment being handed out from this game, but its embarrassment that needs to happen to make it obvious to this clueless fucking ownership. The big negative is the effect this can have on Fields. Particularly if these kind of pathetic displays keep happening. I said right off the bat the odds where against him. They most certainly are.
Nagy won’t be fired tonight or tomorrow morning. But if there was ever a glaring reason he should be…this would be the game.
Nagy is absolutely a dead man walking. 100%. They'll make us suffer him the entire season cos the Bears are dicks, but Pace will have to knife Nagy to save his own skin when it comes down to it.
There was a game in Dallas in the 90s, might've been Thanksgiving, where i dont think they crossed the 50. But ive never heard of them producing net 1 passing yard. Even Cutler's 10sack game in New York they had more than that. I don't know of any team ever having that. And its a passing league lol
There have been some bad losses in the history of this franchise. This one ranks right up there. Exposed. Embarrassed. Just completely manhandled.
I think this is the most I've ever heard you guys talk about a game being this embarrassing. This is all on the owners. Nagy has no business carrying a clip board or being any where near a football field.
Yeah, all of the posts on this page just distill down to the basics how bad this team is. It's not a one-game performance problem, even though I'm sure Pace and Nagy will get that benefit of the doubt. Notice on the list of least-gained yards performances, the Bears are one of three since the year 2000, and the first since Cleveland in 2004. We're in an era of offense across the league, and yet... A competent NFL franchise fires people this week. We know that won't happen, though. Fucking garbage.
Yup. And the worst part is, as bad as this game was, I don't think any of us are surprised. Everything about the last 7 years (Pace's entire tenure) tells us this is coming. And yet, no one in ownership has stopped it. So... Yeah, this is on ownership. But I'm not sure any of them even watched the game.
They're going to get one hell of a shock next week when they get in the ring with the Lions next week and find out the Lions want it more. They may be talent deficient but they've played hard every week.
