Thanks babyfan for doing this again. I remember when Lombardi & Coke was doing it on seebs and you took over. It has been a while.

 

You're another one of the first members who joined gidion. That's pretty cool huh? Yes LnC and I started the first one on CBs although he didn't do any of the actual work, he just raked the praise in (typical man) LOL I remember how much hard work it was just to keep the members from trying to kill each other like Handicappers and that Clown ... I don't remember his full moniker. We've had some fun over the years anyway and it's because of people like you that it is fun.

Babyfan...what can I say that has not already been said. You are truly a wonderful, caring and loving friend. All that you do so we may have a place to call home during the NFL season does not go unnoticed, thank you from us all for being such a dedicated friend that allows us to enjoy the fruits of your labor year after year.

Back to Back 3rd place finishes in the post season I can live with it. Thanks again for running this Baby fan.

I have only one suggestion for next season. Can we have a results thread where only you can post and its only the weekly results?

 

So you want a separate thread where only the results are posted and this thread would just be for picks and chatter?

That's a good idea Jeanquev! It would be a lot easier for the members to check their statuses if results and Leader Boards were contained to a separate thread.

 

Babyfan, I would like to join my fellow Cowboys fan, and all the knowledgeable fans that competed in the playoff version of winner take all. And not have it sound like a platitude!

I can't phantom the effort you put into keeping everything running so smoothly. When I questioned my own weekly records. Thanks you!

I would like to leave with a saying/cliche, that has been dis-proven, especially in the NFL over the last few years.

"Cheaters never win, and winners never cheat"!

I understand why quev is asking this. BUT,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I would respectfully disagree. Baby, what makes this game unique among internet Pick'Em games ARE the "picks and chatter". That's half the fun of it. I look at someones picks and ask myself, "What is this guy thinking?" And then on Tuesday look at the results and see that he finished ahead of me and then ask myself, "How did he do that?"

The other Pick'Em game that I'm is basicly, make your picks. Click. There they are on a big chart along with everyone elses. There's a comment section off to the side, but hardly anyone uses it. Not a whole lot of fun. Here ??? I must say. When we get to talking, we're a pretty entertaining group !!!!!!!!!

 

I think what Jean is suggesting So, is for me to keep a running thread JUST for the results, not the picks. The chatter and picks will remain here but the Leader Boards (and only the Leader Boards) will be contained on a separate thread. That would eliminate anyone asking me questions about their current status, they can simply check the Results thread to find it themselves.

Does my explanation make it more clear?

It actually makes a lot of sense. The only problem will be to remember to create it next season.

We can set it up for next season with a closed thread that no one can post on but the administrator (that would be the guy typing this) and each week that Baby posts in the regular thread with the results I can copy them over to keep it neat and orderly.

This 100% I would never want the picks and chatter to go away. Just want to find leader boards a bit faster sometimes.

i know i need to check my own picks and record bc i forget each week and ask babyfan what it is. that's not her job. she does everything else. i should know my own picks and record.
