Here's a picture of the snow on my deck which I was shoveling. It came up over my knees. This is the 2nd time I had to shovel the deck today but I couldn't finish it because my back hurts and I'm exhausted. The roads were all closed today and the weather was so bad that the snowplows were pulled off the roads. To add insult to injury it's only 5?F today. That's my car in the background. LOL

Baby in Hamilton we got lucky and it veered east and we should only get about 5 cms. That's about 2 inches to most of you. Good news is that they expected -20C for most of the GTHA but instead it'll only feel like it in the wind. Get ready for flooding on the weekend though.

 

I think we got about 100 cm (3 feet) yesterday or more. There is an awful lot of snow on my roof which I hope melts this weekend. The temperatures have been pretty cold too, it's been -15C (5F) for the past 3 days and with the wind chill factor it felt more like -30. I'll be happy to see the melt on Saturday because they're forecasting +2 for a temperature here in the beauty of southwestern Ontario. No surprise that I live in the snow belt huh?

I ended up getting my car stuck on the driveway and spent another 2 hours shoveling last night. I'm pretty sore this morning.

There is a new and more powerful system coming in sometime today and it's supposed to hit hard. I hope you don't get hit too hard Joe.

So long story short ... no trip to Montreal for me. No wedding and no reason to wear my gorgeous and hot new dress. Or the heels. Oh well ... NYE is just around the corner so I'll get good use out of my new things then.

 

I did the beer bottle trick twice yesterday and the snow on the railing easily topped my bottle. I heard that you guys were hit hard. My niece sent me a picture of a humming bird trying to drink at a flower that was filled with snow. It was a beautiful shot ...

I hope your ski is a blast. That is one of the most beautiful sights in the world ... standing on your boards and seeing a view like that. Cheers Larry!! Have a drink for me!
