Im taking the Vikings cos looking at this matchup i dont know how you do anything else. As well as the Vikings being slightly the better team overall, the Saints are devastated on the left side of their O-Line, they're without Micheal Thomas and Kamara is beat up. Winston is also out tho that can't really be classed as a negative.

But im just gonna put something else out there so i look clever if it happens. I was talking about this on the Bears board last year or the year before, there is some pretty startling info out there now about the correlation between prep time in country and win ratios for these London games. Basically, the team that respects the trip and gets out there early, taking the time to get acclimated and have multiple practises wins this game over 60% of the time when they go up against a team who decides to go to London late in the week. If you strip out the obvious mismatch games(of which there's been a fair few over the years cos the NFL clearly doesnt schedule the best games in London which is another story altogether) the % goes up further.

By my reckoning when the teams are even remotely evenly matched, if one gets to London early and the other goes there late, then the early team is winning approx over two thirds of these games. The Saints flew out to London right after their game last week. The Vikings didn't arrive until friday and have only had 1 real practise since arrival.


Couple more fun facts: The Saints play their 3rd game in London and got there early as they believe in doing every trip. They are currently 2-0.
Last time in London the Saints played the Miami Dolphins in 2017. Saints got there early, Dolpins got there late. Score 20-0.
The Vikings also play their 3rd game in London and their last was also in 2017. They arrived on the thursday that year and made a very slow start trailing for most of the 1st half. Luckily for them they were able to turn it around, possibly cos they were playing one of the worst teams in history, the 2017 Cleveland Browns(yes, thats right, the NFL inflicted the 2017 Browns on London).

Of course having taken the time to write all that the Vikings are bound to blow them out now ha. But anyway something to keep in mind. At the very least dont be surprised if the Vikings make a slow start.
