Last nights game was exactly the kind of thing @SoCalSaint has been talking about this season btw. Home field advantage once again counting for diddly poo.

But it goes even further than that. I was in this very thread late on and about to change my pick to the Rams, thought id just check the inactives first. Thats when i saw how many important players were out for the Rams and i just couldn't do it. Henderson, Higbee, starting C, starting RT all out on O. CBs Ramsey & Deayon both out on D. No way the Cardinals should've lost that game but they did. Just like homefield advantage its like who plays doesnt even matter sometimes. Crazy.

 

I did quite an extensive analysis on home field advantage going back to the 2000 season. I'll share the summary on here one of these days.

 

My apologies to Lyman. I messed up his YTD but it's all fixed now.

@Willie, how do you think the match up between the Vikings and the Bears will go? I thought there was some pretty decent stuff from the Bears during the game against GB but I know the reality of what the Bears are dealing with right now. What are your thoughts on this game in particular?

 

I think you will see a hard fought close game. The Vikings just dont fair well there at Solder Field.

If Minnesota can run the football, it will be real good for them, but if the Bears D shows up and stuffs the run, it just might be one of those last team to touch the ball wins kinda games. I picked the Vikings in a real tight one.
